Imago dei
The image is not like our image. If God made us in his physical likeness then He would be creating a false idol. God refuses to be imagined as human in origin.
If we only had Genesis then it’s easy to see that we make God out to be Male. Others make Good female for the same reasons. But God clearly states that His nature is not human so Imago Dei must mean something else.
God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?
