Annie Khait Hey, thank you so much for having me. It's such an honor and a blessing to be with all of you right now.

Santiago Leon Yes, of course. You're in Brooklyn. I know a lot going on today in New York City. September 11th. Tell us a little bit about yourself. And yeah, a little bit about yourself.

Annie Khait Yeah, man, what a horrible day. It's it's always it's always the toughest day to, you know, to remember and it's it's unbearable to go on social media and see all those images again, because it brings back that flood of memories. You know, it's so clear to us that And even to non believers to the extent of wickedness in the world and that you know the need of God, the need to hear God's word. You know, the need to preach the gospel. It's so important nowadays, especially in a day like today. Amen. Well, I'm Anna and I was born in the Soviet Union. I moved to America when I was a little, little little child, I was four years old, to came here for better opportunities. Basically, I was going to go to medical school, decided to put that on hold. And I became a professional poker player. I got on the show survivor. And after I filmed survivor, I got back home and again at that time, I was an atheist. And actually my entire testimony, I'm going to be posting it on my YouTube channel soon I just recorded it and just waiting for the Lord to release when to release it. He told me wait till I let let you know let it go and I am waiting. So it should be up soon. Hopefully And basically after I film survivor, I got back home to New York where I live. And actually at that time, I was living in New Jersey, playing poker for a living. And basically, I am lost my passion for survivor lost my passion for poker. I know now the Lord cleanse that addiction out of me, didn't realize I was addicted, but I got really passionate into politics, which was weird, because I've always been very apolitical. And then I found the Lord during that transition. And you know, it was had basically he broke me down to like on my knees and got rid of arrogance, pride, you know, atheistic views that came in agnostic, and I was like, Lord, I'm starting to believe you're real. They're, they're real. They missed out in the world. And if people are following Satan, and if Satan is real, that means that God is real and I want to follow you. And so I you know, and the Lord brought Someone my way and told me about God and I had ears to hear. And he led me here I was anticipating him to speak and he did through a messenger he sent and basically reminded me, something happened to me when I was 18 in Jerusalem, where the Lord opened up the heavens to me as I was a blaspheming God at the Western Wall, when I was 18 years old, with my friends, blaspheming God making fun of people praying, I said, Look at these idiots praying to a God that doesn't exist. And the Lord and His grace and in His mercy opened up the heavens poured out His Spirit. I mean, that's the whole testimony is going to be in my video on YouTube, but I'm changed my life forever. I've been born again. And you know, it took me time. When I was after I was saved, the Lord started speaking to me and I started reading his word. I didn't have any Christian friends. So it took me time to, you know, realize that certain things were sin, you know, and but God is good and he's, he showed me everything and you He's give me dreams and visions and certain words and prophetic words that have come true and I'm not a prophet, but the Lord has spoken so mightily and done so many things in my life that is just absolutely amazing. He's amazing. And he's so patient with us. So, I know that's a long introduction, so I apologize.

Santiago Leon No, no, that's fine. Amen. Um, we're going to prayer and then we'll dive into your devotion the Word of God. Lord, we thank you Lord for today. Lord, we thank You for Your goodness and your grace. Lord, we thank You Lord, that you're moving through people today and you're touching people in this broadcast in Jesus name, Lord, and and we pray that you'll guide Anna through the word and what you have for us today in Jesus name. Santiago Leon As we wait, we are we are are obviously going through the devotional cast the instant Bible app is started back in 2013 and it's been growing ever since it's been growing ever since Of course adding new updates you know, getting adjusted to the new system with Apple gets a little bit technology go but hopefully add new additions there's a new update coming soon. I promise you guys and hopefully two weeks but Apple's approval office process has been a kind of slow sluggish because there been a little bit more guidelines more regulation. So anyways, and is back.

Annie Khait Yeah, I I that's so funny. Um, okay, so it's actually fantastic. That we're doing this right now because there is something I wanted to say. And it's been on my heart that the Lord put on my heart months ago, and actually in my Periscope, in my Bible study this past Monday, which we just started this Bible study and, you know, praise the Lord glory to Him of just, you know, reading the Word together and just diving in and studying and getting into the Greek getting into the Hebrew going in deeper verse by verse. And I forgot to mention, I forgot to mention at the end of the study on the Book of Esther, this past Monday, I forgot to kind of sum it up in terms of the symbolism of the characters we see in that book. So this is fantastic. So we are going to have a devotional today on Esther The Book of Esther so turned to it I'm reading from a KJV but this story is so beautiful in that First of all, it's the first book, the one of two books that is named after a woman, Esther and Ruth. And it's also one of two books where we the name of God Yahweh is never mentioned. The other book that is never mentioned goddess songs of Solomon. never mentioned God but you see his have working behind the scenes to protect and save His people because of him remembering the covenant that he has with the Jewish people, to save them from their enemy. And their enemy in this case in the story is Haman. Haman who was an melkite he was a child of ad he's an aggregate or a malikai. Either way, King a gag was the king of the Amalekites, which in Exodus, Exodus, I think it's 1714 Exodus 1714, where God promised to annihilate the Amalekites that a day was coming where he will annihilate the Amalekites because they weren't enemies of The Jews. And so Haman. And by the way, this is interesting too. Satan is well aware of the Word of God. Right? He knows the word. That's why he always twists it. He always tries to sow seeds of doubt within us. Satan also knows his time is short. Right? Revelation 12 tell he knows his time is short. So, knowing Satan, knowing the Word of God, knowing his time is short, knowing the Messiah supposed to come, and then he's supposed to come a second time, right back in the right and during the ancient times. That is why Satan has always there's two ways that Satan can evade, try to avoid judgment. One is annihilate the Jews. Therefore the Messiah never comes. Therefore His judgment ever comes or to assimilate the Jews. Having them assimilate into the world and lose their you know, the seed of the Messiah that is to come and also lose their you know, their question. Their tradition, their their Jewish identity, the lose the covenant that they have with the Lord. That's why the Lord said an exodus to be separated. The Jews are to be separated and to not intermarry with the Gentiles and lose their identity lose the covenant, right become an adulterous generation. The Lord was like, No, don't have any. Don't be an eye doctor, follow God. So Satan has always tried to annihilate the Jews. You know, obviously Hitler, but going back before the Messiah, Pharaoh, right wanted to kill all the Jews at the end. harrowed wanted to kill Jesus. Haman also wanted to annihilate the Jews. So but God is sovereign, God is good and God keeps his promises He's faithful. So he kept his promise to Esther and Mordecai and the Jewish people that were living under mesopic meso Persia. So Persia just in the book of Esther, purrs are just defeated. Actually, it's not not just but it's called About like 30 or 40 years in, after the Babylonian exile of the 10 tribes of Israel, they were exiled into Babylon. Under Nebuchadnezzar, right Daniel went to Babylon and so did shadrach, meshach and abednego. And the other Jewish people went into exile. Well, Persia became a mighty Empire and defeated Babylon, Babylon. And essentially Jews were free they were free to go back to Israel. But a lot of them didn't go a you can think about it this way. Well, maybe they had a lot. They were probably telling themselves there's so much stuff to carry, you know, going back to Israel, Jerusalem, everything is in ruins. We have to rebuild everything. It's a lot of work. And Ezra Nehemiah went back with about I think it was like 2500 Jews, not a lot. Not a lot at all. There's like, you know, hundreds of thousands of Jews and they don't want to go back but they were supposed to go back because that was a promised land. That was their land, they're free to go back. You know, eventually with King Cyrus also helped rebuild until the Jews go back and rebuild, go. So, during the time of Ester, students were free to go, but they didn't. They decided to live there and stay there, which it's always better to follow the will of God because they would have avoided this whole situation. But still God got the glory at the end. Because the Book of Esther is, again about Esther, Mordecai. They're the main, you know, characters in the story, but they are, you know, Jewish descent with that Mordecai was also taken on to the Babylonian exile. And again, Haman, the wicked, Jew, the wicked advocate who wanted to annihilate the Jews because of his hatred and jealousy of Mordecai. So with that backstory, which I know we all know, you're probably like, why are we going through this? We know. Well, here's the beautiful part about the story. It's symbolism in it right? The entire Old Testament point to Jesus, the Messiah, Yeshua Hama, Shia. And look at this beautiful representation of God. Because if you look at it this way, you'll you'll never see you'll never see the story the same way again. And it's a beautiful story of God's faithfulness and his promise in his covenant to rescue his Jewish people. And basically the gala that payment had for Mordecai, the Jews, he was hung on his own gallows and he was defeated by God in the very supernatural amazing way. You know, the king having a dream and and going to the two feet two days of banquets with Esther but here's what's awesome. Let's go through representation. God the Father is not really His name is not mentioned in this book. He's working behind the scenes, but he sent a judge, a king, a mighty king sitting on the throne, with a golden scepter King Xerxes or King Osiris. Have a king aha Sara's is a Jewish name and King Xerxes is the Persian name. So either way, but I will say the Joshua King Ahasuerus is sitting on the throne, mighty king of an A mighty Empire. Messel Persia was a huge empire. There was 127 provinces. There were, you know, his empire was growing, there were still so many little wars going on because he kept defeating so many different lands, which was why King Xerxes was always in the court. He was always in that mighty court, speaking to his general speaking to, you know, principles that we're representing all these different provinces. And that's why Esther was telling Mordecai, I can't go into the court because he hasn't called me in 30 days and I'm not supposed to I'm not Esther was not allowed to go into the court unless she was summoned by the king. So it's back to up against Jesus. So God the Father is not seen, although we know he's working and we know he's there. He's a spirit. King, the king King has Sarah sitting on the throne with a golden scepter. That's represents Jesus sitting on his mighty throne over a massive Empire with his golden scepter, which we'll talk about in a second. And judging the world, you know, judging people coming in his golden scepter What does that well, it was against the law, actually talk about the law really quickly. Any law that the king makes his law, the law is even higher than his own name, as it says in the Bible, as well. You know, the law is once the king makes a law he cannot go back on it. It is it's a decree. It is it's it becomes an edict and he can't even go back on his own law. Same thing with God the Father and you know, Jesus Jesus. is the word of God made flesh. He can't go back on his laws, you know the commandments. He can't go back on, you know, saying, well, this is sin and it's evil. He can't go back and say, actually, you know, this sin is okay. No, he's holy. He's, he's, he's beautiful. He's holy. He's just he's righteousness, he can't go back. And as long as same thing with the King Ahasuerus he can't go back on his law when he, you know, has put a decree and annihilate the Jews. So he's, he's a just judge who sticks to his laws. But he also has mercy and grace with the golden scepter when Esther walked in, on announced uncalled for she wasn't summoned, that was against the law. But she received mercy and grace when the king extended his golden scepter when Jesus extends his golden scepter if she touches it, she's forgiven. So if the So again, it's against the law to walk in on announcement to the court of the king. And it's instant death because if King doesn't summon you, you're put to death. But if he feels in his heart to have mercy and grace on you, the king has Sarris extended his golden scepter. Esther would touch it, and she was in the guards knew not to put a bag over her head and not kill her and sentenced her to death. So, here's what's beautiful. Esther wasn't called in, you know, well, she she wasn't allowed in. She wasn't summoned in she wasn't worthy to come in. But she walked in boldly, you know, meekly, you know, she walked in boldly, but she was meek because she was praying and fasting. She didn't eat or drink and for three days, but she walked in boldly and she said, If I perish, I perish. She walks in boldly to the king of grace, King of glory. The King standing there in all His righteous judgment. walk to the king, king Jesus. And Jesus. King has the earth represenation King has Eris extended his golden scepter she didn't deserve it. She wasn't called in. She's not worthy to be there. She you know, we're all not worthy to walk into the throne to the throne of grace. We're not. We're all wearing dirty rags. It's only by God's grace by what Jesus did on the cross for us that it says that we can walk in boldly to the throne of grace, because of what Jesus did, but we have to actually touch Jesus, we actually have to know him have a relationship with him. You know that woman with the 12. The 12 year, blood disorder, blood disease, remember she she leaned over to touch the garments that Jesus was wearing, she knew she would be healed the power. You know that his anointing that he carried would save her and heal her So again touching Jesus touching the throne of grace and it's only by His mercy that he extends the golden scepter. Right? Jesus is the golden scepter. Right that came to this world. He is just a He is the King of glory that extends his blood to anyone that wants to accept it. And so again, Esther was forgiven. Esther was forgiven for breaking the laws that would condemn her to death. Right, all of our sins are wages of sin is death. So we're all worthy of death. Not glory, not not grace, not any. We don't just we all deserve death. We all deserve the second death. We all deserve hell. But because of the kings glory and the Kings mercy, I should say, because of the kings, mercy and grace on us to see extend that golden scepter which is himself and his blood, his flesh. So praise God for that and again the Father God the Father is you know God the Father it says in the word has given and Isaiah. What is that Isaiah? It's actually no it's dang well, Sunday as well. But God the Father has is going to give the Messiah the prophecy was God the Father was come actually from Daniels Well, I think Daniel 27, where the anointed one is going to be given all power, all authority, all dominions on the earth, all the Dominion on the earth. So, Father God gave Jesus and Jesus even said it when you know in Matthew and Mark, he said, I've been given all power and all authority on the earth. See the Messiah. Jesus is going to be judging, judging the earth right Father, God gave Jesus full Dominion full authority to judge the earth. He came to this world as a servant as a suffering servant. The first time on a meek meekly on a donkey donkey represents peace. And he is going to return on a mighty horse mighty beautiful white horse horse represents King's kingship. It means, you know, it means strength. He's coming back as a mighty king. He's not coming back on a donkey. He came like that the first time to save the world. The second time he comes is to judge the world as a mighty king. So it's beautiful in the story, that King of Osiris represents Jesus, King of glory, sitting there. Again, having Mercy on us and grace on us and being able again in the New Testament, walking into the, to the throne of grace, boldly, knowing that he's gracious, and he's merciful, and He's faithful. And Esther asked for help, you know, seek and you shall find, knock and the door will be open. She knocked on his door, you know, she knocked on his heart when she was standing in front of him and then she got you No. And the second time she fell on her knees crying. She walked again second time on announced, again broke the law. And again he had mercy on her the second time and she begged and pleaded for him to save the save the Jewish people from annihilation from Haman. And sure enough, the king answered the king responded and the king was good. He couldn't change the law. So he made an extra decree an extra edict that said that the Jews are able to defend themselves and they were able to defend themselves and then they're, you know, which made the which was a big sell. It's a big celebration poram feast of poram, the 13th and 14th day of March. The reason why it's two days is because the first day the Jews fought back on the 13th they were able to fight back and on the 14th day, the king Ester requested if they can also kill any leftover enemies of the Jews, right? Haman had 10 sons. Haman was hung in his own gallows, were hanged on his own gallows, his 10 sons We're probably freaking out so they all probably stayed home because they weren't killed on the 13th day. But Esther requested from the king Hey, can we kill the rest of the enemies right? Let's Let's kill payments 10 sons that are sitting at home because they are the ancestral lineage of the Amalekites have a gag the king and they are the ancient it's this ancient feud between the Jewish people and the Amalekites. So the king said yes, so the 14th day the Jews went and killed any other leftover enemies that's why they paint 10 sounds of payment they cut off that generation all their families and their children as well were killed. They were they you know they were smiling. So such a beautiful story of again, you know, Queen Esther represents us represents the bride and the bride. So here's what's also beautiful interesting to understand and put into perspective Queen Basti, there was too bright In the story right to Queens and the story, Queen Vashti and Queen Esther, Queen Vashti represented legalism, the law, she also represented disobedience. Right? So Queen Vashti when the king in the beginning of the store in the first chapter of Esther when the king in his drunk stupor with you know, in his hundred and 80 day feast, great mighty feast, you know, showing off his glory, you know, that doesn't represent Jesus but, you know, obviously the world is a Gentile King, you know, pagan king, so he was, you know, in all his glory showing off 180 day feast with all the princes in the provinces and all the common people were coming into feast and enjoy and celebrate in shoeshine the palace, also known as Susa, and um, the end of that, at the end of that feast that lasts seven days, he was so drunk. He is not being not in his right mind. He summoned the queen to come and show off her beauty. Now back in the day, Queens rarely came out. It was very rare Queen was always private always, you know, tucked away hidden away. She would be with her, you know, her women in her palace. You know, it was they had like separate homes, they live together, but she had separate place for her and the women and the Queen never came out. It was very rare. So for the king, if he wasn't drunk, he probably would have never done this but he was so drunk that he told his seven Chamberlain to go get her and Queen Vashti felt I'm not going to be embarrassed. I'm not going to be, you know, for queen to come out to common people and show herself off. It was very disrespectful. I would just honor her. It would just honor her. So Queen Vashti knowing the law right legalism knowing the law in terms of nice. I mean, it's, it's not even on the lights, it's like an on. It's like an unspoken law, the Queen doesn't come out period. So, being carrying too much of what she would look like and embarrass herself, she decided not to come out. She disobeyed the king. The king, obviously in his wrath in his fury, got rid of her and had a beauty contest and Esther was picked and she became the new queen, Queen Esther, on the other hand was the she represents the bride of love, the bride of relationship. You know, whatever the king asked her she would do humbly meek, not answering back not being disobedient, being obedient. For example, you know, when we become born again Christians. Um, compare it to you know, Queen Vashti and Queen. Esther, Queen Vashti. If Jesus would say, Hey, can you go pray for that person? Put your hands on that person, pray for them. She would be like, No, I don't want to embarrass myself. I'm gonna lose. Crazy. I don't want to I'm not gonna do it. She's in a disobedient, rebellious bride. Whereas Queen Esther doesn't care she looks ridiculous, doesn't care if you know being again following the Lord having your relationship with God, that you love him so much. You don't care if you look ridiculous, you don't care if you look ridiculous praying for someone's knee. You don't care if you look ridiculous preaching the gospel in the middle of the street, you don't care. You don't care because the world thinks you're crazy. You look You look like you're crazy to the world. But you're doing it because you love him and you also love people and you love their souls and you want them to be saved. So it's this you know dichotomy of two brides again, which is interesting too. Here's another connection. Queen Vashti represents the Jewish people. Queen Vashti was exiled. Because of her disobedience because of her legalism. They're essentially pushed aside she was pushed aside The King went to Esther, King once he the king, the Father God and Jesus, the Holy Spirit, they were searching for a bride for Jesus. That is not legalistic. That is a bride of love obedience. Right? When when the Jewish people betrayed Jesus and killed him I mean it was supposed to happen because that was the prophecy and thank God he fulfilled it. Thank god they did that even though it's hard to say that but thank God they did because we wouldn't have been saved if they didn't do it. And praise God for His just obedience to the cross. He could have been on the cross and said you know what, everyone's cursing and spitting on him. I mean, it's like it says um, Psalm 22 that the you know, the dog that they're like demons just around him and I'm sure it was obviously demonic. The situation spitting on him laughing at him and he could have just like, you know, a Father God, like, take me down. I'm done. I don't want to do this. Like they don't even they don't deserve it. Instead of His mercy, he said, Lord, you know, they know not what they do forgive them forgive them for they know not what they do. But um, you know, the Jewish people follow the law, Jesus to them where it was blaspheming you know, john 858, which I just said to Bible study on this past Wednesday, john 858, where before Abraham was, I am, he called Jesus called himself God. And for the Jew, you know, the Pharisees, it was like, What? That's blasphemy. And of course, if they don't understand who Jesus was, to them, it is blasphemy. Right? A man calling himself God, but they don't understand that the Son of Man the Messiah, is in fact, the Son of God is in fact God reincarnate. And God incarnate, not being pregnant God incarnate. So it's this beautiful You know, it's just like again, so the Jewish people. What essentially and you know, Babylonian exile Right into exile. They were under, you know, Persia, Persian, no exile, sort of, and, and again, Queen Vashti was pushed aside. And he went for his bride that he bride of love. And so, when you're really born again you're born of the Spirit. You're a bride of love a bride of obedience. Right? Not a disobedient bride not not a bride of legalism and laws and this is what it says and not having a heart, you know, not having love for God. So, such a beautiful story in that I can't believe I forgot to mention it in my Bible study. So I'm really happy. We're doing this devotional

Annie Khait my god reminded me last night, amen. God, my I'm like, okay, so Praise God. And it's just such a beautiful, again, representation of Esther being the bride. Right? We're being prepared. And here's what's also awesome about this book. So God the Father, we don't see, right we don't just we don't talk about goddess, Father God is Spirit. Jesus is represented represented by King Osiris and you have the Holy Spirit, represented by how guy how guy, the kings, one of the king's most beloved, Unix, Chamberlain's right. And most trust most trusted nobleman who was in charge of the women, was in charge of the women's house and how guy Had favor over Esther during the beauty contest right before she was chosen Queen after Vashti was exiled. The king was looking for a bride and found you know eventually found favor with Esther but before the king met Esther, she was being prepared for a year under the under had guy, six months of oils, six months of fragrances, you know everyday being oiled and lathered and prepared her body was being prepared right for the king, but also the bride was prepared with how to because again, these are all young virgins. These were all young virgins taken from 127 provinces. A lot of these young virgins were working on farms, you know, working in the market. They don't know how to hold themselves as a queen. They don't know though the laws as well as Queen Vashti did. So these brides have to be prepared. So how guy is a representation of the Holy Spirit? Preparing the bride preparing the church? Right? Because the bride is the church. Queen Esther the bride is the church. So how God the Holy Spirit has to prepare the bride for that. For that wedding feast with Jesus up in the air and you know in the rapture when it when it happens, when we get presented to Jesus, we're going to be a perfect bride. for him. Holy and beautiful without blemish. And this preparation the Holy Spirit does when we get saved after we get born again and saved. We, you know, we're saved under the blood, but there is sanctification, there is preparation. There's spiritual growth in the Lord. Um, you know, he takes away he takes away something popped up my computer still here, okay. The Holy Spirit will take away certain things things out of your life and add new fruitful things out of your life the right the Holy Spirit will take out fruit less things in your life and give you fruit full things in your life. Um, from Esther he took away you know, the holy the hat guy was taking away her modern day mentality and he was giving her um, you know, how to hold yourself as a queen. He taught her etiquette how to hold herself in front of the king. How to hold herself in front of the common people. What are the laws? What can you do? What can't you do? How can you approach the king how you can approach the king so she these virgins had to learn so much it's a it was an intense preparation. It wasn't it wasn't easy and I'm sure probably through it she was like why am I here like this is like a this is this is quite a preparation. You know oils and lathering and fragrances sound beautiful, but it was an intense preparation for them. They have to learn a lot in one year and And so it's the same thing with us, the bride of the church, we have to be sanctified, prepared by the Holy Spirit to be beautiful and blameless when we meet Jesus up in the air to be a worthy queen to be a worthy bride of the most worthy King. And so you have all three heads of the Trinity represented in the Bible in this book, and it's a beautiful story. And, and you know, and then when Esther before she was a queen when she met the king, king, a hysteresis. When she was called to him, he instantly found favor with her because she was perfected without blemish in front of him. And he did something that kings he was actually not even supposed to do wasn't even allowed to do. He instantly took the crown and the crown her Queen, normally he would have to wait He would usually go back and talk to his Chamberlain not to ask them for permission, but it would be customary where it would take a week or two, to make a decision to get all the formal arrangements together and then crown her. But he crowned her instantly in that moment. She was perfect for him. He felt so much in love with her into he had such favor for her. instantly. He didn't want to see anyone I was like, nope, she's it. This is my bride. Hug. I prepared her to the point where he recognized his queen, his bride, instantly. He didn't have to wait. He said no, this is her. This is my queen. This is my bride. This is she's worthy of being the queen of this entire Empire. And he gave her up to half the Empire. You know and, and which was interesting because in the in the Persian Empire, usually, you know, the king has all power and all glory and all control and the Queen doesn't really, you know, she was kind of on the sideline. He wouldn't ask For her opinion usually, but in Esther situation Esther was so exalted This is in historical literature as well. These name was his name was Herodotus, he was a Greek contemporary historian at the time. And he wrote about Esther and she was elevated to the point where she was he almost equal to the king. You know, obviously, the king was first and foremost, but she was elevated to, she was exalted to the point where King respected her opinion so much, that she was greatly loved, favored by the king and by the people. And he cared what she had to say he was ruling with her, not over her. He was ruling with her same thing when it's you know, in Revelation and the prophecies of the bride of the church is that we will be ruling we will be co heirs and we will also be ruling over the entire earth with the King of glory. And so it's and it's so interesting because There's a lot of even stone tablets left over of, you know, archaea tech, archaeological evidence for Queen Esther and obviously modern Persia is is modern day Iran. and Iran doesn't like that history. They've basically essentially tried to wipe her name out. Because not only a was Esther, this Queen Esther, basically a ruler with King Ahasuerus or King Xerxes for them, but she was also a Jew. She was a Jewish Queen, that was, beloved was exalted, was treated like a king, you know, but, but you know, she was a Jew, so they wiped her out, but there's still historical evidence of her so they can't delete what happened in history. And again, it backs up what it says in the Bible. So again, you have God Father, God, Jesus, Esther, the church and hat guy, you know, the Holy Spirit and It's just a beautiful representation. So, in that I will just end with how gracious and how merciful Jesus is.

Santiago Leon And man, thank you Anna. Um, let's get to prayer Lord, we thank You Jesus. We are the bride Lord and like what Anna mentioned about being spotless with no blemish in Jesus name teach us Lord to be spotless Lord, they will be ready for that day. We are prepared, that we are made the beautiful, spotless, blameless when we meet Jesus. Father, prepare us for the evil that's to come the persecution that's to come Father God, because Father, you took me to Texas in 2017, Lord God and you spoke to me very clearly Lord God, and it broke my heart because I felt the Lord is I felt the Lord's pain Lord, Jesus kept saying, My people are not prepared. My people are not prepared. He said at three times, my people are not prepared for what is coming. We're not and I felt the spirit like we weren't prepared to be martyrs. We weren't prepared for the persecution. And we're not prepared, Lord God for for even being in front of you, Lord, we need to be blameless, clean, sanctified, holy as our Father in Heaven is holy. And we Lord, we ask that you prepare us mentally Lord as well in our hearts for what's coming, which is pure evil Lord, we already see it around us. We already have shows with pedophilia shows on Netflix, Lord God, it's coming. It's here, it's here, and it's going to only expand but Lord, I pray for your mercy, Lord, gone for your mercy that there'll be a great mighty harvest before you return, Lord God, let there be a mighty harvest before you return. She stood boldly for her people and God heard her so Where to stand boldly accepting Second Corinthians 714 that we pray, and you know, with supplication and prayer and fasting and God will he'll hear from heaven and he will hear us and He will heal our land. That's what we need in this country we need to heal our land for great harvest to come. Because I do agree with you i don't think this is the end yet I don't think we're you know, we're not tribulation yet. But we are awfully close. They're awfully awfully close. The signs are, are everywhere, we're very, very close to finding out who the Antichrist is and all that tribulation, all that persecution, it's all coming and those who indoor till the end shall be saved. So indoor, prepare yourself because with all the food that we have, now that this there's going to come a time where we we won't be able to buy ourselves because we won't have the mark of the beast. People are not prepared for that. You know, the nominal Christians that just go to church here and there and call themselves a Christian go bear you know, go to church think they're saved and and don't know the word don't know the Lord. Giving up food and giving up luxuries and apartment. Heat electricity not many it's those those who indoor till the end will be saved. So it's gonna be hard time but prepare yourself now.

Annie Khait And yeah, Pastor Carter now Tim zelena. So it is such a spiritual church, actually, for a year when I just got saved. I was looking for a church in New York, I went to a bunch of them one of them being Hillsong and walk right out. And I kept trying to feel the Holy Spirit and I was being you know, I was studying on my own online with under astroworld Pastor Carter, actually, I didn't know who pastor Carter was, I don't know that he was the pastor of Time Square church at the time. So I was looking for a church and the Lord kept bringing up pastor Carter, my YouTube. And he took on the Lord is like, search where he where he's a pastor. And I was like, Oh, he's probably a pastor in Georgia. There's no point like, there's no good pastors in New York. I've been to so many of them. And the Lord's like, look where he is. And so I looked him up. And I was shocked these in Times Square. So I walked in that church and the first second I walked into that set, like when the doors open and walked into the actual congregation, that auditorium, I felt the presence of the Lord. It was so strong, I was at Whoa, finally, a spiritual church. So a man it's a great, great spiritual church, but there are actually a few few really spiritual churches in New York that I found out later.

Santiago Leon Yeah, and hard in New York is tough. It's a tough town they say, but I know that anyone you know, who as Lord can make it through and thanks.

And when you have a 2020 vision, you have a perfect vision, you're able to pass the eye test. You can see all the letters and the numbers in a in a pie chart. I know we we were talking about it before the But um, but you had it ready like some people will say well I didn't give one but you already had it in your heart

Eric Olson 3:09 well it's I mean to sum it up without going into too much set up perfectly time that will God now I wish there might be they a general you know idea sometimes what the guy For us a specific will. Now the general will is that everyone will be saved within an hour and who gets saved or is the character to form prices in us right that we will be conformed not to the well what you saw but specific right the what need to seek Him or specific information about our gifts, our talents to experiences, what the Lord has, obviously, you know, the God's perfect will for, for the Apostle Paul was different than Mary Magdalene. Right? So we see these things. And when we get a hold of that, then it's just it's but you can't go wrong basically all in with Jesus in God's perfect will for our lives will include a couple things right? It will definitely it's going to include it'll be for His glory, and it will be for the advancement of his kingdom, whatever that is whether it's growing an internet company, whether it's a marketplace, ministry business, whether it's planning the church, starting the ministry, where it started, whether it's starting a Bible study, or a prayer group in your home, whatever it is, it's going to be something that connects with the verse of the day today that Santiago shared, which which ties in perfectly with which which one was on my heart, which is the title of today's In the Bible cast was I had a my heart in the title of today. But even so, I see a correlate those two verses urge each other to continue believing, hardened by the unbelief of the world and we see some, some negative God in the world they get this. And if we're not careful, we can get into unbelief, we can get hardened. And then we can get to go, Oh, yeah, that's 2010 is to get perfect clarity about the perfect will of God. And again, it will for all of us. I encourage you to seek God for that too. I feel like I do have quite a bit of perfect clarity about the perfect world God in my life. And

it's about creating inspirational original Jesus content. Well, in Christ, we're called to encourage each other and encourage each other to believe God. And so that's what I want to do today. And that spirit of encouragement, of faith of not only not being ashamed of the gospel, but the opposite, the opposite. It says, Scripture says, Let him who boast in the Lord boast in Christ. So if you're going to boast, right, the opposite of being ashamed is being proud of something. Let's let us win it. That's why the gospel means Good news. When it's good news, right? You want to share, I got some good news. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal, everlasting life. Hallelujah. That's good news. Jesus conquered death. Jesus conquered the devil. He has authority over every demonic power. He can give you a new purpose, a new life. If you feel discouraged. I'm here to encourage you that there is a new day. God's mercies are new. Every morning, test your cares. Test your burden upon the Lord because He cares for you, Jesus, the Lord who conquered death. He cares for you being encouraged, I commend all discouraging to get off of you. In Jesus name. I believe there is such a thing as a spirit of discouragement of depression. Right, this belief, there's a spirit of it. And we might have been raised to believe in God. But if you get your eyes off of Jesus and you're getting hardened by sinfulness and by everything going on in the world that's of the devil, then if we're not careful, we can be discouraged. And we fall into disbelief. And then we start to get ashamed of the gospel. The only reason you'd be ashamed, right, is if you don't believe it. If you believe the good news about the gospel of Christ that has a power of salvation, it's great news. There's no reason to be ashamed, and there's no reason to be discouraged, even when hard trials come upon us. Right, as it says in the opening letter of James Wright Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whatever you face, various kinds of trials and temptations, because you know, it's the testing of your faith, develops perseverance, that you might be mature and complete, not lacking anything. So yeah, that's 2020 2020 vision for me and for you is that you would not lack anything in your face, you would not lack anything in the clarity of the calling of God on your life. When that goes for Santiago, and for all of you out there being encouraged in the clarification that comes to Christ Jesus and the Word of God. Amen. Eric, can you please

Santiago Leon 11:17 pray for people out there that are looking for vision that looking for clarity in their lives, even though they're in the midst of a pandemic? God is bigger than a pandemic. guy could overcome a pandemic. These are the times where many people will rise. Go ahead and prayer.

Eric Olson 11:38 Yeah. Oh, hallelujah. But I pray for those that that have not been born again. Those that have a form of godliness but deny the power of those who are those who have a head knowledge about Jesus, but they've never surrendered their life to Jews. I pray for conviction and for grace, that you would draw them to a place where they truly repent and turn their lives over to you, Lord, not just a mental acknowledgement, or going to church, but truly their heart, their everyday life, their identity, 24 seven, that they will give their lives to you and I ask Lord, that You would inject them, infuse them, intoxicate them with, with your Holy Spirit, the living water, let it overflow, that all sorrow will be will be come out and you will feel them with the joy the Lord, Lord all. Hold the sin will be broken and you will feel them. Lord them. Jesus help me Jesus, I give my life to you, Lord God, and then I pray, Lord that you would give them as they do that. In the rededication, maybe some did that. As we jump away from you, repentant, fail that hardened over their heart and give him a little bit of the power of on Earth, I mean, weren't taught that, Lord, that they have part of the thing in the darkness will be be people's eyes may be opened up, see that are utterly sinful regard those things that are the devil just put a boldness for The good news just rewrote command, I command fear to get off of people in the name of Jesus for God has not given you a spirit of fear of a spirit of anxiety, a spirit of worry, a spirit of timidity. God did not give that spirit see that is from the evil and extra man, spirit of fear to get off of you, in Jesus name. Thank you, Lord, feel these listeners and children, even those who aren't listening and those who are turning to you and asking for with your mind of Christ or God, with perfect clarity, Lord God, there's no confusion. Not the Word says. That is the evil one that wants to lead you into confusion. God is light and he brings perfect clarity, that you will not be confused about who he is about what he calls us to that he loves you. A lot died for the whole world, the Lamb of God who takes away the whole world that's how much not that He gave His life for the whole get on with life. For the I want to share as I interjection of an exhortation in my revelation about my dad would tell me, son, I love you and how much I love you that I would actually use the kid. Eric Olson 21:58 Thank you brother. Oh thanks Hallelujah, Lord, as for this annoying articulation and revelation afresh on repentance, Lord, that You would bring it to the people on repentance. So Jesus when He began his public ministry right, before he, the first thing he did was, he said in Scripture that when Jesus released I mean, before I mean when he was 12. And like, no, he said, I have to be about my father's business. But when you read in the gospels, the first thing he did before he called his disciples, he, he started going around and saying, Repent, for the kingdom of heaven, is at hand. Now, some translations will say the kingdom of heaven is in your midst, but the kingdom of heaven is only connect is connected to the king of heaven, who is Jesus Christ, the kingdom of heaven does not advance apart from the kingdom Heaven, King of heaven was Jesus Christ and so on. repentance, right? Jesus is saying, It literally means to change the direction right change your thinking Turn, turn from the way you're going and turn right the kingdom of heaven here. You don't have to work for your salvation before salvation is in your mitts. You know the name of Jesus means that God God who saves. So repent, right stop in Hebrews, right? That he reversed to that shirt is I encourage you to memorize 13 encourage one another daily, right? You keep reading in Hebrews, you get to Hebrews four and five it talks about repent from dead works, right? repent from these works that are dead, the works there were not saved by works right? By faith through grace Ephesians, two eight through 10 says right? It's the gift of God. It's the free gift of God for all who believes so it's self righteousness, it's knowledge, I am on in my flesh, and I cannot obtain to the righteousness of God I cannot obtain this God I cannot obtain the miracles of God by works, right. And this in the world that we have this tendency that we, we want to try to do is feel like we can earn salvation or earn miracles, as Paul rebuked the Galatians he says, You foolish Galatians who is the which you? How do you think you can finish? Through the again, in the spirit? Does God work miracles among you because of your good works? Or because you believe the answer is of course, it's because we believe so a lot of times by trying to do things on our own. See what what is impossible with man is possible with God. All things are possible with God. Right, turning to God, trusting God. That's what repentance is. You can't enter the kingdom of heaven without repenting. You can't enter the works by face. You got me. You got to repent from self brights turn from that person deception. It's a lie that will lead you to destruction and to death. And that is there's a strong, evil one, under self righteousness for it is connected to in the Bible says in many places old and new toes out. he resists the proud, but it gives grace. humble. Guess what? A lot of times it takes humility to repent. Well, first we got to repent and turn from our pride. And then you keep reading and Jesus on the same journey. he encounters a man the crowds were following him. And this man was a poor beggar who was blind blind barn If you can read it and look at him, and he cries out Son of David, have mercy on me. And now any crowd tried to silence and any Son of David, mercy on me and Jesus stop. And he says, bring them to me. And then bottom is just before Jesus. And Jesus says, part of me is what would you have? And part of me says, I would love. And Jesus says, according to your faith, be itself. So guess what? bartimaeus turned to the Lord bartimaeus had the humility, he repented from his position of begging. Well get a revelation here. So Jesus says to begin to sermon on the mount with this statement, blasted out of the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. It's no accident that Jesus begins the great sermon on the mount with that statement. If you look at the Greek The word pour in spirit there implied begging, it implies being in a position of spiritual poverty.

He begged for Jesus to have. He wasn't trying to do it in his own Russia ruler, I've kept the law. I've done this, I've done that. Jesus says, okay, sell all your possessions become a beggar and then follow me, and you'll have the kingdom of heaven. And he but blind bartimaeus was already a beggar. And so he it wasn't hard for him. He was he was already begging for money. So now he just repented from begging for money, anything for Jesus, and he got bored again and he got to the kingdom of heaven. That's the entrance point to the kingdom of heaven. That's the beginning of salvation of becoming a beggar spiritually crying out I can't do that my own juices, help me, help me. And just The kingdom of heaven is that blessing of the poor in spirit blessing those who begged for God's mercy and righteousness for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Jesus doesn't say there's will be the kingdom of heaven. He says there is the kingdom of heaven. It's right now, the kingdom of heaven. And in heaven, that's the will God 2020 vision. That's God. That's a priority. That's how it's always been. And whenever God is calling you to do specifically, whether it's in Miami, or Boise or in another country, kingdom, that whatever you do you be a part of bringing the kingdom of heaven on earth, as it is the will of God and the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth. Darnell Ranger Okay, churches, overflow ministries is located at F we have an F Lin. We're fairly young church just a few years old, but God has been faithful. We just believe in praising God, we believe in seeking the mind of God. We believe in seeking the heart of God. And I'm just I the best way I describe myself is I'm a Down to Earth preacher serving up to date guy. So I try to be

Santiago Leon relevant Which is something that that I do remember a couple years back at Liberty almost about 13 years or so. And you know, you're one of the top leaders in that meeting, which we wish it was called the ramp back then, and I know that you were one of the servant leaders in that organization. He tells a little bit about that I refresh my memory a little bit.

Darnell Ranger Okay, so it was called actually kosha kind of ministries, and it was just a group of us that met together, founded by Bishop, Bishop soI younger arm, and it was founded, we came together with a group of different people from different colleges, but mainly the one that we had at Lynchburg was just people who just had a heart after God, we got together, we prayed together. We fasted together, we read the Bible together, and we just believe in having church and many people came and many people were saved, delivered. Um, so that was a blessed time. It was an awesome time.

Santiago Leon Yeah, was definitely a huge blessing for me was every Tuesday and then you guys were had events here and there I mean there was so much to do while in college you know there's so much events but that one was in particular in my memory because it was a refresher It was definitely a fresh when of God. Anyways, with Darnell he'll be sharing a 15 minute unmet devotion as our usually our guests usually share. I'll be saying a prayer and then Darnell will take this ship to a different level or dimension wherever you want to call it. Lord Jesus, we thank You, Lord for today. For tonight. Darnell Ranger Amen. I'm just going to share just a brief devotional with you guys on reading from Psalm 46. Psalm 46 and I'll just we'll be talking about how God how we can have comfort, even in the midst of crisis, even in the midst of all that we're going through in the midst of Coronavirus in the midst of all kinds of different, different protests and then different upward that we're just having, not only in our country, but all over this land. So I'm reading from Psalm 46. If you have a Bible you can read with me or just listen, Psalm 46 says, God is our refuge and he's our strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea, though the waters there of roar and be troubled, though the mountain shake and the swelling there is a soulmate gladness, City of God, the Holy Place of the tabernacle of the past. God is in the mids of her, she shall not be moved. God shall help her and that right early, the heathen rage. The kingdoms were moved he under the voice the earth melted. The Lord of the hosts is with us. The God of Jacob is our refuge come to hold the works of the Lord what desolation he had made the earth he make it was to seize onto the end of the earth. He braked it the bow and cut the spears in Sunday, he burned it the chariots in the fire, be still and know that I am God. I will be exalted among among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. The Lord of Hosts is with us, the God of Jacob is our refuge. That's one of my most favorite scriptures in the Bible. Because even as we're going through this perplexing time, even as we're going through Santiago, we're going through this hard time, we can be reminded that God is our refuge. And that simply means that God Himself was a place of refuge, as the City of Refuge protected the fugitive in Israel. The God Himself is our strength. And he's the strength for all people that will believe in him. That God alone was our strength and will continue to be our strength that lets us know that no matter what comes, no matter what goes on, that God is our fortress, and he's a mighty fortress, that God himself would be our help. In other words, we don't serve a God that is distant from us. We don't serve a God that that's somewhere off in the distance with his arms crossed, but we serve a God that's in tune with us. We serve a God That loves us with everlasting love to anybody that would dare to accept them to anybody to believe that, you know, you know, you know, as I was growing up in church, and many times at church, I would hear people say that if you give up this, if you give up that if you stop doing this and you stop doing that, then you're safe. But that's not the reality Santiago. The reality is that the only way that you're safe is by the nature and by the person of Jesus Christ. The only qualification for salvation is to accept them as your personal to pick up your sin, to realize that you need a savior and realize that he died on the cross. And if you accept that, then you are safe. Then the scripture goes on. It says, though the waters there of roar and be troubled through the mountain, though the mountain shake with the swelling there all day. is a river, the streams where I'm shall make the City of God, the Holy Place of the tabernacle. God is in the midst of her. In other words, Santiago it means that it didn't mean that trials will come, we know trials come, all of us are going through something. We all either are in a storm just got out of out of a storm or getting ready to go into a storm. But we have a confidence that only comes through prayer. There is a confidence that only comes through accepting who Jesus crisis so we can have peace. We can have peace, even in the midst of chaos, even in the midst of chaos, confusion, even in the midst of we don't know what tomorrow gonna bring. But one thing we know, Santiago, we know who holds tomorrow, we know who holds tomorrow. And if we hold on to God, if we hold on to is on changing hands, it doesn't mean that we're not gonna Some time, it doesn't mean that we're not gonna be made to be perplexed sometime. But what it means is that even when we go through the valley of the shadow of death, we have somebody with us. I've gone through some tough times, I've gone through some hard times. I went through some times where I didn't know how I was gonna make it. I know what it means to be unemployed. I know what it means to not know how you're going to do this and do that. But every time that my bat came up against the wall, God came in every time that I felt like I was all alone. He came to remind me that son, sometimes you make be lonely, but you're never alone. So even as we look at this scripture, and it goes on, in the verse 10, verse 10, blesses me, it says, Be still and know that I am God. Every now and again, we have to remind ourself That we have a guy. Every now and again, we got to remind ourselves that he has us. There was a song that we used to sing growing up that it says so many things about tomorrow. I don't seem to understand. But one thing about it, I know who holds tomorrow. And I know who holds my hand. Is that kind of die? Is that kind of God that wants to love us when folks thinks that we're unlovable when people think that we're unreachable. When people think that we're just duck. He's that kind of God that says, I still want to use you. He's that kind of God that said, I still got ministry for you. He's that kind of guy that was thick closer than a brother. I don't care if you came from the wrong side of the track. I don't care if you came from a broken home or broken union. I want to let you know that God is still on the throne and nothing catches them by surprise. He wants to get Have you peace, the Bible says that he will give us that peace. Santiago is the kind of peace that passeth all understanding is the kind of peace when we should have a nervous breakdown. We can walk around with a smile on our face. It's the kind of peace when we when we when we lost something, it might be the law, a loved one, it might be the loss of a job, it might be the loss of a relationship is the kind of peace that will keep us together. And it passes all understanding. You can have peace, in the midst of confusion. There is comfort in the midst of confusion. There was peace in the midst of the confusion. And there's nothing like when you're in the middle of a storm and he comes and gives us peace in the midst of the storm. He's that kind of guy. He's that kind of God. He's that kind of guy. It says the Lord Holes is with us. The God of Jacob is our strength. He's our strength. Santiago, I just feel right now. That I ought to pray to it. Because there's so many people that are hurting. There's so many people that are tormented. There's so many people that are going through a storm. And they feel like they're in it all by themselves. But he told us that he will be our very present help. In the time of trouble, he will be very pressing Hill. So I'm gonna pray. I'm gonna pray for that person. That feels like it's all over. I'm gonna pray for that person that feels like God has forgotten. I'm gonna pray for that person that feels Becker's against the wall. I'ma pray for that person that feels like that. I'm going down for the last time. I'm gonna pray for that person that feels like if this is it. And the thing about this Santiago, one of the most frustrating things when you go to a fast food restaurant and you've been feeling for chick fil a all day long and you've been feeling about chicken sandwich, man, and you place your order and you drive back home, only to find out this natural order. And there are some people that have didn't laugh right now. That's a god or you're walking with me or working against me. But I came on here just to tell you that God is gonna give you peace right in the middle of your storm. God is going to stabilize you. God vindicate you. God is the globe and the lift of your head. Lift up your head, oh, the gates of everlasting and the King of glory shall come in. Who here is this King of glory? strong and mighty in battle. Oh my god, I'm getting ready to pray. Do it. I'm getting ready to touch heaven. And I believe in the power of prayer. Prayer still changes things. I don't care what the news is saying. Prayers still works. Never when I can't deliver, practice and do what I can't do. somebody that's worried about a child right now. We're getting ready to pray. We're getting ready to pray. We're getting ready to pray. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. We're getting ready to pray. There is deliverance.There is my God. He's given peace right now. In the middle of confusion, contact in the middle of confusion. Baba God in the name of Jesus. We come to you right now as humbly as we know how. We thank you for being our strength. We thank you for your word that tells us that God is our refuge and strength. Very impressive help in the time of trouble we thank you that you told us that you'll never leave us know for sake but you're with us till the end of the earth God even though we have so much confusion all over this world COVID-19 all over this world rising all over this world we got it all under control. We think that nothing catches you by surprise. But just still got you still. You're still powerful. You're still way Macomb you're still alive in darkness. And we think of a victory right now. We think of a victory in the face of the enemy. We think you're right now God that you are our mighty fortress that we can lean on you. There comes a time and ever believers life where they get knocked off balance where they have to learn how to lean on Jesus. But it's so sweet to trust in Jesus just to take him at his word just to rest on his promise. And I think you're right now that you know our name doesn't matter. Like they don't know us. But I'm so glad that you know our name. You know our name. You said you know even out of here we have on our head. We don't even know how many hairs we got on our head. But God you know it to him who sits on the throne and be all glory and power. We bless your name right now. We bless your name. We think about healing God. We think about healing all across this land. Somebody who's on the verge of giving up. somebody that's in the hospital right now. somebody that's struggling with pneumonia. somebody that has cancer in their body. And the doctor says, a stage for God, to heal right now. In the name of Jesus touched the White House in the name of Jesus. Touch the crack house in the name of Jesus. Somebody in the whole house in the name of Jesus. deliver your people everywhere. And then God I actually give us a loving spirit. Give us a pray and Spirit God. Sometimes we have been But got distracted. But God I accept that give us mercy right now. Have mercy on us right now. Give us clean hands God give us pure hearts. That was not to lift our phones to another. In the name of Jesus in the name of Jesus. We need help. We need help God that comes from you. All ancient days we believe in you. We trust you God. We have confidence in you got some trust in horses. Some trust in chariots. But we trust that the name of the Lord for the name of the Lord is a strong tower. And the righteous run into there say we thank you. We think of a piece right now. Give us peace right now God in the name of Jesus. Oh Have mercy on us God. Have mercy on us God. God North America needs Merci. Merci. Merci. Merci needs mercy Asia needs mercy. Oh my god. Don't forget your right now. In the name of Jesus. Remember your children everywhere. Oh god. Have mercy God In the name of Jesus, with trust your where we can't trace we believe your report God we bless your name God, we praise you from the rising of the sun to the sending of the same we believe your wisdom believe your God the God that makes wants to see the God that makes was to see the God that Abraham what is that God that spoke to stones and told them oh you're with us that's the kind of God we brings. That's the kind of God we worship. That's the kind of God we adore. In Jesus name, we do pray in Jesus name. Oh, My God, touch and deliver like the only you can save somebody. Deliver somebody, deliver somebody from sin, deliver from the pressure from racism deliver from envy. Deliver from hate right now in the name of Jesus. We thank you for Oh, we praise your name. Santiago Leon Lord we also pray for people that are dealing with financial need Lord, people that have lost his job since Jesus name we pray that they will be a blessing Lord, in their finances that they'll get a new job or they'll start that business they always were pondering about in Jesus name. When I'm sending out a clarion call to every intercessor to get back on the wall. Get back in your place you got on the line. But to ever get to sessile People, which are called by my name will humble themselves. They pray facts here it is, there it is, and turn from your wicked ways. We've learned about the wicked ways of others, but turn from our own wicked ways.

He said, You see, the scripture says, there's another scripture that he says, I stand at the door, knock. If any man hears my voice, I'll come in and stuff with see God. Jesus is like a gentleman. He's not going to force himself. He says freely I give them to you. And so we got to invite him back in. Exactly.

Darnell Ranger invite him back in. Some of you this might even happen. problems in your marriage, because you have abandoned and have forsaken him, invite him back in my mind. Miracles, but the Bible says signs and wonders shall follow only them that belief Wow. And the reality is a lot of people have stopped believing it didn't take Coronavirus and stop people from going to church. Some people go to church and left turns a long time ago. Some people go to church just something they do. But but but but if you're not spending quality time, it's good to have a praise team and a preacher and all that good stuff. But some folks don't even open their Bible outside Sunday morning. I know some folks don't even pray outside of church. Okay. We can tell you know, the Bible says that you can tell the fruit but by their fruit and as believers we ought to be fruit inspectors. And we can tell that people have not spent quite how can we tell that people have not spent quality time what got you to mean I've spent time with God. You too nasty to spend time God, you too hateful to spend time with God. Because when you spend time with God, there's no way you can be in the presence of the Almighty God and remain the same. He'll change you change that opportunity. There might be someone that might listen to this. Maybe you're not a believer. I just want to say to you, it's just as easy as 123. If you want to become a believer, just repeat this prayer with Dear Lord Jesus. I realize that I'm sitting. But this day I realize that I need you. Come into my heart. I realized that you died on the cross for me. For the Word of God says you so loved the world that you gave your own guidance son. And so God I agree with that. Since I asked you to be the Lord of my life, see see a lot of people just want Jesus they treat Jesus just like they treat a little playboy as somebody that they got on the side. But he said I don't be a part of your life I have to be your life. When the rubber hits the road, I want to be your all in all so much I want to do for you. Except me. Except me. it no matter what you're struggling with, except me, as your personal Savior, when with all your insecurities with all your problems, because the thing about it is every one of us has struggles. Every one of us has issues Don't get it twisted. Every one of us have fall short of the glory of God true. But if we learn to accept the Lord Jesus Christ, he'll do a new thing in US Do a new thing in us. Hallelujah. I don't know. Maybe there's a backslide. I'm gonna be quiet. Okay, go for it. Go for it. Keep going. There's a back slider that's gonna hear this. He said I'm married to the back slider. You can't get too low that he won't get down there with you. You can't get too far. I'm married to you. I'm kidding. Don't worry about Don't worry about people who say, well, well, they tried. They tried that salvation thing before and they messed up. Don't worry about people said, well, they don't bend down to the altar before, and they fell short. Because if anybody's saying that they need Jesus, I'm gonna say one more thing. With this Coronavirus with all this protest we see going on. God is trying to get our attention. And it just amazes me how much believers are selfish. And what I mean by that. Who would have thought that there'll be a day that we would be fighting to get tissue. We're so selfish that we only need about two to package the tissue but we go and buy four and five packs. This Corona and this protest is revealing the hearts of men is revealing how we can we can be it's revealing how much the church needs to rise to the occasion. How believers Need to come back to prayer? Because I, you know, I had posted something a while back and God impressed me on my heart. And I say say this Don't be that believer that praise talks about somebody more than you pray for that somebody. I'm gonna say it again. Don't be that believer that talks about somebody more than you pray. See, we do a lot of lip service. But we don't do a lot of prayer. That's true. But if my people my own which are called by my name, will humble themselves. And what does humility means? It means to simply come under Cc Cc is like a God is our cover. He says if we come on to he'll protect us. If we come up, come on, meet our needs. But the problem is, we try to do everything on our own. But if my people which are called by my name Get too high get low. You're too full of crap get low. here from heaven. turn from your wicked ways. We got to turn we got to turn all this that's going after this Coronavirus leaves. If we go back to the same old same God is trying to teach us something brand new. Even this is there's a blessing because even to Coronavirus, he's bringing families back together, people who haven't spoken to each other. I'm talking about people that some some of y'all didn't listen to live in the same house who have not spoken to each other. He's bringing marriages back together. He's bringing the relationship between parents and children back together. He's putting church in every home. This sounds like the beginning of how the church started. If my people will get back to prayer We have a lot of gifts. We have a lot of talents. But the Bible says that these will know us by our love this new commandment. As I love you Love one another. The Bible says if we don't have love, we're like a sounding brass and tinkling. How deep is your love? Oh, my God. Oh my God. God is our refuge, man and our strength, a very present help in the time of trouble. I don't care what the news is saying. I don't care what Facebook is saying. God is our refuge and strength. He's a very present help. In the time of trouble. Oh my god. We won't see you load is the strength of my life. A form shall I be afraid when the wicked even my enemies came to eat up my flesh. they stumble and fail. Oh my God. He wants to love on us. He wants to take us to a greater place of intimacy. Eric Olson Yes JMTJ MTD is the acronym for Jesus make the difference. And it was originated as the it was the theme of my of my wedding and it continued to be the theme of my marriage. But the Lord began to show my wife and I, we got married on 10 1010 October 10 2010 at university in Virginia Beach, Virginia. But that that theme that phrase, Jesus makes a difference. You He definitely It was very specific to our story. But it was much bigger than us. In fact, for everybody was born again, of course, Jesus difference without the Savior, there is no salvation. And so I could give you go down the list the list of applications of how just exactly how Jesus makes the difference. He's the only one who died for you. And he's the only one who conquered death. So those are a few of the major ones, but you can get into a lot of the specifics. And he is the only way the only truth and the only life. The only true eternal life is through Christ. And as john 14 six, Jesus says, No one comes to the Father except through me. So he's the only face of the Father. So yeah, he's the only Catholic with eternal life, but yeah, We have Bogo. Look and I submitted your brain just $3 spending on that we are transitioning relaunching. We went through trials. We've had some tribulations, but George has been faithful and been pruning us throughout it and we're excited. It's been a difficult year of 2020 for us personally as it has for a lot of people because of different things going on especially, you know, the Coronavirus, and perhaps more the bigger trial has come from the government's you know, response to the crack the virus with the burdensome lockdown and I don't know, I think there's a bounce it can be cheap but achieved but that's for another discussion. You know, we don't write it. Write on a scarcity mindset, we write in an abundance mindset. And the LORD Will Provide and there's a time for everything. Some people think the end of the world is tomorrow, but it might not be. It could be in 10 years, or it can be in 50 years, but there's no time to rush. And that's why we have this cast guys, just to encourage you guys, of course, the rough times through negative news, even through social media. People get discouraged. And I think we want to encourage you guys, Jesus encouraged and we want to encourage you as well. We'll start this prayer and then what Eric will will will guide us will take this ship This train towards our destination. Lord, we thank you Lord for today Lord, we thank You Lord, whoever's watching this Jesus speak to their hearts, changed your lives in Jesus name. We pray for for any type of anxiety, Lord, I've been hearing anxiety, Lord, that it will be healed Lord, what brings anxieties fear and we pray that that, that you will touch them Lord and they then that and that you would give them faith in Jesus name. There's no there's no reason to fear Lord, there's no reason to fear. Fear not in Jesus name, Lord and bless the word that you have today that you've spoken through Eric and his life. Lord, we thank you Lord for Eric. He's a true, true believer, true disciple. And thank you, Lord, that he could be an example to many other people. And Lord, and and we thank you for the word Lord, because you told us to, to memorize and also to engrave it. In a heart, in Jesus name, amen.

And, Lord, I just want to add to salt the Argos opening prayer that Lord, I ask that you would bring a spirit of Revelation and I ask that you would bring some holy humor into this into Baba Bible podcast Lord, we, a lot of times exhort and share on heavy topics, topics regarding truth, and regarding justice and, and things that are heavy, but Lord, you have a way to bring joy in the midst of the storm. And, and so I just asked for some Lord that you would anoint some spontaneous Divine Comedy, holy, heavenly humor and laughter. That would be as Proverbs says, a good medicine men And Lord, to our hearts. We're in the midst of all the heaviness that surrounds us. And I asked these things Bob and God, in Jesus name, Amen. Eric Olson And then well, with that in mind, what just came to mind? Well, first of all, I need to get a new phone so I can get my my I have an iPhone six and my instant Bible app that songs the Argos apps for some reason, like I just need to get A newer phone so it'll get the updates

Santiago Leon iPhone sc 400 bucks a lot of people have gotten it and it is worth is like having the iPhone 11. But in a smaller screen and I think there's like a there's probably one option with the camera there's less But anyways, let's not get distracted with, with technology

Eric Olson distracted with technology, but I am hoping by the end of the summer to have gotten that because I did not know what to pray for that at the end of the show. I say it again,

Eric Olson A bring your petitions in your class before and we will pray I'm in agreement with that brother. But what I've been what I'm so amazed at how good the Lord is and how he uses his word so often to confirm things is so when I've done this in the Bible podcast with you Santiago, you know in previous weeks, oftentimes when you share the verse, it aligns With the theme that the Holy Spirit is putting my heart to exhort, to share, and so as you shared the entire Bible, verse of the day, Leviticus 1918 I believe it was right. Yeah.

Santiago Leon God works through algorithms, doesn't it?

Eric Olson Right God is the God of numbers, mathematics, color, beauty, all everything. He is the ultimate. Yes, he algorithm, mathematician and artists and author anyway, but you read it and the beautiful right there in the Torah in Leviticus. With Leviticus A lot of times people see it as a very you know, the book is a lot of just the law. Of course, it's a lot of you shall not do this, you shall do this. And it's just a very, you know, nuanced, nitty gritty about every situation and circumstance you could possibly think about and it can seem tedious. On the surface, but while you when the Holy Spirit starts illuminating things and connecting it to the heart of God and the New Covenant, it's pretty profound. It's beautiful. And what's beautiful about the life of Jesus when you read the New Testament, or during the lockdown earlier, you know, I went through the whole Old Testament afresh. And I listened to it from the beginning of Genesis all the way to the end of Molokai, and I also was reading it. I was like, listen to the audio Bible, read it. And the Lord was just giving me fresh revelation. And I was like, Wow, it was just hitting me how much Jesus and the New Testament. Of course, it quotes, all the Old Testament, not all every single verse, but it quotes the tour, the New Testament references. Jesus Himself, of course, he had the Torah, and he would reference the Torah. He would reference the prophets. He would reference the Psalms, and then a lot in the gospels, there's there are direct quotes from the Old Testament. So it's this beautiful A continuation that God established it's mind blowing, the deeper we dig the more revelations there is. So with that being said, as the Bible verses the day, you know, you shall not take vengeance as something read right or do not bear any grudge, right? Or having unforgiveness against any of the children, you know, or any of the peat your people or you know any person, but you should love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord. Wow, what a verse and that verse is quoted in parts of that verse is quoted multiple times throughout the new test.

Santiago Leon I thought I was reading a New Testament verse at the time when I say reading that Oh, wait, that's Old Testament.

Eric Olson Old Testament, New Testament. It's absolutely New Testament but it was this is the first you know mentioned of the statement and this statement is so important. Because it is referenced multiple times in the New Testament, it's something that is very important to the heart of God. And he said, if we follow Christ, then this because not every statement in Leviticus, of course, is referenced in the New Testament. Not every statement in in Deuteronomy are numbers. There's a lot of stories that don't have any mention in the New Testament. But the verses that do have special emphasis from God, and the verses that are quoted in the New Testament from the Old Testament are things that deal with the heart, the, the, the position, and the condition of our heart. And the Lord references in the New Testament in Romans 12, Hebrews 10, many other places that do not take vengeance. The Lord says Vengeance is mine, right? So if we're a people of the kingdom of God, the Lord is saying, Do not take vengeance right. Don't try to avenge yourself, Benjamin Mines I will pray that the Lord and it's in reference to this verse in Leviticus says in Hebrews 1030 A Romans 1219 other places yeah

Santiago Leon and in which like one verse I really, really thought about, which is kind of references to this little bit is you know, I fry you know, just turn like the other cheek type of like that verse What did that Jesus said,

Eric Olson Come straight out of the Sermon on the Mount brother. Exactly. Jesus says, You've heard it said you know, I for eye and a tooth for tooth but I tell you do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. So don't repay evil with evil, but return it was good. If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles, right. This is the heart of Christ. And this gets me into the the title of today's In the Bible Devotional, which is you three words, unite in Christ, don't unite in some movement, or some trend, or some propaganda that isn't enticing your emotions and saying, Hey, we need to bring justice to these in justices. Well, what does that mean? Are you bringing vengeance, the Lord says, Don't do that. And who will repay. And if we're trying to bring justice in our own strength, a lot of times we get into vengeance and we're trying to repay evil with evil. And the moment you do that you're not in the mind of Christ. You're not in the heart of God, you have fallen into a trap of evil one. anyone listening, do not fall into those traps because if you fall into the trap that you want, you're going to it's only going to bring bring evil upon your head. You will fall into the judgment of God, you're trying to bring justice. And a lot of times these movements only bring more injustice, and it doesn't make anything better. And for the thing is God is sovereign. And if we seek Him and exalt Christ, vengeance is mindset the Lord. And it's not just vengeance on the Day of Judgment. It does include that, but he will change society. See, a lot of these movements are not following the way of Christ. See Martin Luther King, Jr. We look at his speeches. He was a pastor. He was a Reverend, that we know he wasn't a perfect man if you study his life, but he exhausted God, he had non violent movements, and what changed the society what changed the south to change the Jim Crow laws. It wasn't tearing down statues. It wasn't setting fire to buildings, it wasn't threatening people and say we're we have this list of demands and we're gonna make vengeance. No, that would have just caused absolute destruction. No, it opened people people's eyes and God changed people's hearts. And he brought justice to society. And remember this, God prefers to have mercy. God prefers to for people repent. But when you're when you join a movement that is threatening people and saying we're going to intimidate you, and we're going to manipulate you, and you see more people falling in line out of fear of man rather than fear of God, I'm telling you, it's not going to end well. It's not going to it's going to bring more injustice. Do not be deceived, right. God cannot be bought. What is it? What is asked yourself? The Bible says test all things tested the spirit bind movements behind agendas, what is the spirit behind some of these movements? Do you think that is really the Holy Spirit leading some of these movements that we see emerging? No. If anybody who's objective and honest know the the spirit behind a lot of these movements and the big ones that you're seeing corporations get behind, and you see social media You know, promoting it. And I'm not gonna say any specific names. But if you have any discernment, you can put two and two together. That is anti christ spirit that wants to actually persecute people who stand with Christ. So if you believe in Christ and you've been enticed into some of these movements, I in Jesus name that your eyes be open. And I encourage you to repent and turn to the Lord. Do not be deceived, don't be led astray by people pressuring you, intimidating you or manipulating your emotions. You know, Christ, that is that is the three words uniting Christ. That's the heart of God, that you are not you. We we all would unite with others in Christ, from other nationalities, from other ethnicities from other languages, seeing revelations that have been there will be reading Senators in heaven, from every tribe, every tongue, and every nation that have been united in Christ that are set up in Washington, the blood of the Lamb that has put their faith in the Lord Jesus and been filled with the Holy Spirit, that out of this world, and their primary identity was not their nationality, not their ethnicity, not the color, color of their skin, not their gender, not any political party, but Christ Jesus who conquered death and conquered the evil one. That's what God is the movement of the kingdom of heaven. Everything else is a deception. Everything else is a propaganda by the god of this age, which this in this world which is perishing, The kingdom of heaven is eternal. And so if you're a follower of Christ, what happened is happening, God is exposing who are just superficial cultural Christians. And there's a uncoming where the chasm is going to get greater and greater You're not going to be able to have one foot in the kingdom of God and one foot in the world, it's going to get wider and wider the difference and you're going to have to choose to have both feet with Christ and I stand firm with the Lord. And I may suffer persecution from those in these other camps of the world that are being led by the evil one, or do I turn my back on Christ? And I joined the camps of the tribe of the evil one. If you say, you know what, I'm still professing Christ, but you're supporting movements that do everything against him. Know, the proof is in the fruit. The proof is in test the spirit there have in your conscience is going to be you're not those who really have faith that want to walk with the Lord. You're not going to be able to justify following any of these movements. You're going to have to make a choice. You're not going to be able to stay in the valley of decision, as it says in the prophet Joel multitude during the valid decision. Meaning they haven't made a decision. They're trying to say, Well, I want to have my cake and eat it too. No, the Lord is bringing a time where you're gonna have to make a decision. The time of gray area, the time of look, warmness is coming to an end, you see things wrapping up, you see things, widening the division, and that's what the world that's what the enemy does divide and conquer. Right? Jesus says, a house divided, can not stand. So these are, these are the plans of the enemy. And I'm telling you, the people of the Lord, we might have differences that nuanced differences, but on superficial doctrines, right, or peripheral things of importance. But if we agree on the pillars of our faith, who Christ is, God in the flesh, the nature of Christ, he's divine. He's God, and man, he was born in the virgin he's the Messiah. Believe upon these three pillars that the Apostle Paul talks about in First Corinthians 15, then we can be united in Christ and have a fellowship of faith in the same spirit of green and believing these three pillars, the nature of Christ again, he's the Messiah, Son of God, and that the forgiveness of sins, our peace of God comes through, not through our righteousness, or comes through the law, but it comes through the blood of Christ, that pays the price for our sins. And then the third pillar is that God raised Jesus Christ from the dead, never to die, getting eternal life. These are the three pillars. And if we believe can believe and fully believe on these three pillars, we can have unity with another person who believes on these three pillars as well. And the more we see God, the more Holy Spirit will make all things clear. And the power of the Holy Spirit badges the Holy Spirit, the gifts of the Spirit, destroying the works of the devil, deliverance, evangelism, salvation, advanced in His Kingdom, all these Things will come into more clarity as we grow upon these three foundational pillars. But if someone doesn't really believe in these terms, and they're just a cultural Christian, you know, they're raised in church, but their heart really isn't in Christ. God is going to he's exposing that in the season. In this season 2020 what do you think about what we're in the year 2020 I've been thinking about this for a long time. 2020 vision right? When it comes to your your clarity of vision 2020 vision is something you see is with, you know, with lenses, obviously, you notice, if you have 2020 vision, you have perfect clarity, you see things without any blurriness. You don't need glasses, because you have perfect 2020 vision. We're in the year 2020. And I believe God is bringing perfect clarity. In this whole year. Yeah, it's been a year of trials. And that's part of what happens when there's trials. It exposes what's inside of somebody, you can't hide anymore. So what God is exposing things, making things clear where people's hearts are, he's pulling the veil in what we need to do as far as the Christ, we need to keep with repentance, stay close to Jesus not be enticed into these other antichrist movements that might appeal to our flesh, or appeal to our culture, or appeal to our race. Those these are all deceptions of the enemy. And what they do is they divide us from Christ Himself, and they divide us from other believers. It's the opposite of the will of God, it's a scheme of the devil, and it's a trap of the evil one, don't fall into it. And if you have been enticed to these repetitive thought, while the time while they're still time repent, so I wanted to read this passage in alignment with all this right? It's in Romans 15. And just to give the context because Romans 14 The apostle Paul is talking about people who have different opinions about different things right. They both believe in Christ. But one one person's face allows them to only eat vegetables. I'm summarizing Romans 14 to give you the context, that it leads into Romans 15. Of course, the whole book of Romans is profound and beautiful, and it's great, you know, dissertation on the gospel. So I encourage you to read it and listen to it from start to finish. But because of the time here, we just, I just want to get into it quickly. Romans 14 is about liberty in Christ. Some brothers some some believers don't have that full liberty in their conscience. They can only their conscience, for example, all users only allows them to eat vegetables, right? Because they don't have the freedom of their faith to eat meat, but others have the freedom to eat anything. And the Lord is saying, hey, those who if you both believe in Christ, you shouldn't condemn the one brother who the person who owns vegetables should not be Then the one who eats meat. And the person who eats meat should not judge, the one who only eats vegetables. Rather, we should be united in Christ, we should love each other. This is the this is the highest level is to love each other. So we can defer to each other. And so I'm, I'm, if I have the face that I can eat anything, as long as it's submitted, given, you know, and thanks to God, right, I want to do stuff. I don't want to eat things that would be bad for my body. But as far as my conscious eating meat or eating it, it's not it's not not sin. Right. So but then that transitions into right, the great verse that Paul and Romans 14 was saying, right, I'm blessed it is the man and blesses the person who does not condemn themselves by what he approves. Romans 1422 right. But then the last verse, Romans 14.3, but he who doubts is condemned if he eats because he does not eat Faith, for whatever is not from faith is sin. Right? So these movements are they from faith? Well, faith in what faith and who is so and if God approves of it, we got to be real careful that we're not approving of something that God disapproves of. Right. So then going into Romans 15, and I, jumping up to verse five, and I read the following. This is from the ni v here, may the God Romans 15, five, may the God who gives endurance and encouragement, give you the same attitude of mind towards each other, that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one boy, you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. For seven, except one another, then just as Christ accepted you in order to bring praise to God. All right, I can keep reading. I want to jump rough up to verse 13. And I will conclude it with this verse.

Santiago Leon Take your time, Eric, take your time. It's good. Oh, okay, I thought I was gonna have a half hour hardline here. So but yeah, just you know, we'll do time.

Eric Olson Okay. Thank you. So this is a great memory verse and you can memorize it in different translations but it's cuz it says it slightly different different translations Romans, chapter 15, verse 13, I love this verse, may the God of all hope, fill you with all joy and peace, as you trust in Him. Some translations say as you believe in him, that you may overflow with hope, by the power of the Holy Spirit. That what a great exhortation What a great blessing. What a great prayer. We should pray that and I want to pray that, Father God, they all who are listening in their own Your children what? May we you overthrow them and overflow us? overflow Santiago when I with your hope, the hope of your Holy Spirit comes from your Holy Spirit Lord, those who have lost faith in you, those who have been discouraged or gone in two different directions, Lord, they've stopped trusting you daily they've stopped believing in you. Even if they intellectually say they do. Their hearts aren't and they've lost that peace of God. They've lost the joy of the Lord, and they've lost the hope of eternal life. They've lost the hope of the Holy Spirit. Lord, would you grant them repentance, to return to you to put their trust and faith fully in you to forgive those that have wronged them or they perceive that wrong then, and to trust you for justice and mercy? And may you give us the joy of the Lord, that would be our strength. May you give us the peace of God that surpasses all understanding, and then you overflow our cups of coffee. Mind with that living hope to avoid that and let it overflow out of us into all those we encounter our family, our friends, our neighbors, and even strangers that we encounter even those that may persecute us. Let us not fall into fear, or depression or vengeance, but let us maintain that love and hope to even pray for our enemies and for those that persecute us, Lord Jesus as you did, and if you tell us to do more, and we ask that you would bring a great awakening to our land, in this year and in the coming years, perfect clarity 2020 vision in the year 2020. Lord, you're shaking things up and you're awakening things up Lord, a great awakening, a great revival, Lord, and help us to all play our roles to get in alignment with what you're doing, Lord, Lord, we just forgive all those that have wronged us right now, and I Pray that right now. anybody listening? I just encourage you right now, anybody in your heart, whether it's a family member, you're looking even at a politician or something. And you're, you're saying, Oh, I have so much hate for this person I want to take vengeance on. That's not the way the Lord, I just encourage you right now to say, I forgive them, Lord, I release them into your hands. And if you want to take it even farther level, as the Lord Jesus does pray a blessing over then. Well, we prayed the lessons over those who have persecuted us who have wronged us who we feel have done evil things or guys, you see the hearts or God. So he trust your justice and your mercy. We don't take vengeance. empower us to walk in your love, Lord, open those eyes or God and knees and say Christ movements that are not about your kingdom but are actually about destroying your kingdom and destroying those who are in your kingdom. When we pray you to expose them, expose the spirit behind them, and let people need to see more wake people up, that they would have their hearts fully trusting in you, and that they would want to win people to Christ, not to political or propaganda movement. Lord, we trust you, Father God, we thank you. And we ask all these things. In Jesus mighty name, amen.

Santiago Leon Let's keep this keep praying in Jesus name we pray for the sick. Lord, we pray for any healing Lord, we pray for anyone that has stomach pain in Jesus name. They've been dealing with stomach pain for years, Lord, we pray right now healing in Jesus name. And if you need to, you know, take that step of faith. Jesus says get up and walk. Go No, that's what it takes. If you are hurting financially, give in Jesus name. Yes. We pray, Lord, for the families. We pray for unity in the families in Jesus name and the couple out there. This think about splitting or thinking about or habit or has split. In Jesus name we pray for unity. We pray for forgiveness between the between each other and the family in Jesus name. We prayed that Lord like you soften their hearts and receive it. Lord, soften my heart say that soften my heart and forgive. Just like Eric said, and the Bible said actually, a house can not count if it's divided. We also pray what Eric mentioned about cultural Christians or Jesus we pray touched their heart whatever, you know, someone cultural cushions come from, you know, Piquet's, they usually like their parents or ministers and they just you know, they just kind of wander off but they're in the church but in Jesus name we pray that they could find a find like the love of Christ again in Jesus name. Hi. They experience Holy Spirit Phil. Lord, we thank You, Lord for today for your miracles. Lord, we thank you for today's miracles in this podcast like going on mentally, physically, spiritually. In Jesus name we pray for healing, complete healing Eric, as you have anyone, anything else to pray for healing wise? Go ahead.

Eric Olson Yes. Oh, I just get a sense you know, there's some people out there that are really struggling with migraine headaches and just headaches at different levels. And just right now I you know, the Bible says lay hands on those were areas of sickness so you can lay hands on yourself and just, I just come into agreement with the power of God the Holy Spirit and I say headache be gone in Jesus name on all pressure, all inflammation of all brain on pain how brain pain be removed in Jesus name. And just call upon the name of Jesus. And thank him for his healing. He paid the price and across not only for our sins, but for our sicknesses, every form of infirmity. And as the Word says, By His wounds we have been, we have been healed. We have been healed in Jesus name. And so that's from every form of disease, every form of oppression. And a lot of times Hey, sometimes a if we work out you're going to have enough muscles to fatigue and soreness. And that's fine that there's a natural time to recover you need maybe need rest and water, but a lot of times there's a spirit of pain, there's a spirit of migraine headaches and and i'm not against taking Tylenol or ibuprofen, but a lot of times those things just to date, the symptoms but they don't deliver us. So Lord is a deliverer He wants us to trust in Him, first and foremost, not as a last resort. But as a first impulse our hearts turned to the More. So any migraine and confusion and just all these things are the battlefield of the mind has Joyce Meyers book is, and regardless of what you think of Joyce Myers or style, she shares a lot from the Word of God like a lot of people do. They're they, we might disagree in certain things, but people we should unite in Christ again. And so I think sometimes headaches come from if you're a believer, but you're double minded. Right? It says in James, you should not expect to receive anything from the Lord, if you're double minded about things. Right. And if you're not receiving things from the Lord, sometimes we're receiving things from the world are the evil one. And we think we're receiving good things emotionally, or the praise of people, but you also might be receiving a headache or infirmity because we're double minded, and we're not focused on the Lord. So just if that if you resonate with that or feel conviction, Holy Spirit conviction that that may be true of you. Repent of being double minded, and turn to the Lord. He wants to deliver you completely. He wants us all to walk in it the power of His Holy Spirit, that we would not satisfy the lust of the flesh. walk in the light as he's in the light, that we would not be deceived or deceivers in the darkness. So be free, and free indeed. In Jesus name.

And like, you know, some of you guys out there that you know that a doctor might have told you or a person or a friend or even your parents told you that you can't do this because you have restrictions. Because you have this mental illness now. Take a step of faith. receive from God. Yeah. You see from Jesus. Yeah. Yeah, Jesus heals that Jesus didn't heal back in the Bible, you know, 2000 years ago. He's still heals today. So don't feel limited. Don't feel that that's like the like the like the bowl stops there. No, no, no, you don't have to. If you seek Healing heal, heal you had that faith, keep going. You know,

It's all about the right ratio, the right balance. If anything gets to Coconut, then for my taste buds, when the coconut dominates the dish or the sweet, then I don't like it, it's too much but if it's kind of the secondary flavor and it's like the supplement coconut supplement then I'm like you know, but it's not the dominant flavor but it kind of helps the other one then that then I can really get down with coconut

Eric Olson Welcome brother Santiago and every buddy out there especially all my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus. This is the day the Lord has made Let us rejoice and be glad in it. Amen.

Santiago Leon Which is also a songs isn't it? Hallelujah. Well, what are we doing? Had we actually what a what a month what appeared we have obviously, you know, a lot going on with the pandemic these past two three months, of course, with issues with rioting and protesting this past, you know, with respects to Mr. Floyd George Floyd. Eric, how have you been these past couple weeks? Have you been out of the pandemic? Are you guys in regular mode? Are you still in the fringes?

Eric Olson You know, here in Boise Idaho area, you know that we never got hit really hard out here in Idaho. It's it's this area, you know, it's a medium population. I guess the whole Treasure Valley area would be maybe 600,000 or so to grow in area, a nice area but I mean, right now we're like the total number of cases over this whole thing in the state of Idaho is still under 4000, Keno and heads So there's some areas where that was like, a weekend for some cities, you know, like, and so for a day, or even a day, yeah, you're right. And so, you know, our state still took precautions. Now people in Idaho are pretty independent. And, you know, there are a lot about liberty. So you get a pretty good mixture of people out here across the spectrum as far as how they approach different issues, including this one. And so some people are still, you know, electing of their own accord, whereas, I mean, I think Pasco is still you know, there's stores like Costco and a few others are still requiring people wear masks into their store, but most stores aren't. And I would say, in my estimation, 90% of the people out aren't wearing masks. I went back and forth about it. I know you know, my, some of my family members are pretty concerned about the Bible. So, I respect for them, I I sometimes I do wear a mask, but then other times I'm like, on my honesty conviction is, you know, the data changes and I think being outside fresh air, getting, you know, good sunlight and having a high immune system does just as much if not more to help you, you know, defeat the virus or not have it until it just using proper social distancing. But yeah, we are slowly we're still there I think in they just this past weekend, and it the last phase of reopening, but, like, we have kids, of course, and so like the YMCA reopen but they're still not letting kids in our church has reopened but they're still allowing kids and so nothing really, our life is still kind of in the you know, at home with our family, which,

Santiago Leon which could also be a good thing. You know, to spend more time with your loved ones and, and maybe get to know some things that you didn't know before or learning some new things. You know how to fix things in the house or how to fix a doorknob or maybe a toilet.

Eric Olson You're right. That's absolutely right. There's a verse in, you know, the small book in the New Testament, Pillowman. It's one of these, you know, these one of these one chapter books, you know, and so there's a verse that says, make the most of all opportunities, right? And so attitude is everything. And if we take every situation to the Lord, he can teach us through every situation, not only a new if we need to fix something, or or have to learn something new on an intellectual or skill level, but also a spiritual revelations from God and all things you know, so I man.

Santiago Leon Amen. And of course, I've been hearing a lot of testimonies These past couple of weeks and months about new revelation. Definitely a lot of trust in the God more a lot of people turn their faith.

Santiago Leon yeah, we'll get started I'm gonna pray and yes wait to the end we'll be praying for the sick and you need out there so please stay tuned and we'll pray and Eric Olson will take this ship to deeper waters Lord, we thank you Lord for today Lord, we thank You for Your mercy and your grace in this moment. Thank you for your healing power that you still save you still heal in Jesus name and whoever's watching this podcasts or whoever's listening or whoever's watching love to be touched. Holy Spirit move through Eric use them. I pray that lives will be changed in Jesus name. Amen,

Eric Olson Jesus. Amen. That you you're listening right now and it's my honor to share with Mahara with you and as me to honor this, I prayed about it and what the verse that came to my heart the phrase is, is a beautiful verse. And, of course, there's every time in the Bible where something is repeated, there's, you know, the with Moses, and it's this this phrase is repeated throughout Scripture says, Let everything be established with two or three witnesses, right? At least two or three witnesses that's in the Old and New Testament. And so that that goes for not just a matter in social issues, that's you know, so if there's two or three witnesses, something you can't really establish an allegation or evidence of just eyewitness investors. It there's only one witness and so that principle applies to script itself is if there's a phrases repeated because God, of course, inspired the word, the Holy Spirit. And so everything in Scripture is inspired by the Spirit of God. So the more there's a phrase written in different places in Scripture, the more witnesses there are in God is establishing a great and great, greater authority to it. So there's this great phrase that I feel is very relevant to what is going on in our society in America right now. And I'm going to give you two witnesses in Proverbs here. And it's if you have your Bible you can go to if you don't you can listen to I'll read it, but it's here in Proverbs, chapter 14, verse 12. And it says this, it says there is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end, it leads to death. Just to read you, give you this Same exact phrase is just another two chapters ahead in Proverbs 1625 it says the exact same thing. There is a way that seems right to a man but in the end, it leads to death. So the title I want to ask you personally, where what is the end of the matter where in so we see these movements going on in society today and we see it being trendy to get on board to get on the bandwagon and go in the direction of protest movements and we see as follows the crime we we get we got this, the troops what they got is what just does and when we take justice into our own hands, we can easily go start going in the wrong direction. It may feel right and we want to bring justice. But the question is what what is the end of that direction? does it lead over a cliff? does it lead to death? As it says in these chapters, the verses here, Proverbs 1412. And again repeated in Proverbs 1625. In the end, right, there's a way that seems right to man to man's point of view, right? God, God looks at the heart. man looks at the government Jesus, the Lord spoke to the prophet Samuel right when he was going to know what the next king of Israel in Psalm 16 do not look on the outward appearance don't look at his height or stature from man looks on the outward appearance, a God sees the heart. So a lot of times we are blinded. We see it we see the injustice in society and we have a sense of what we want to bring to justice. We'll go to God and seek Him and ask Him to bring justice Then we can we can follow a path, or a group. That might seem right and might seem popular, but God's Spirit is not leading, it will inevitably lead to death. Then I'd like the Hebrew word there. If you look into the, the original language, the Hebrew word because different translations as I'm reading this out of that 1984 IV, so some translations may say in the end that leads to destruction. And there may be there's different renderings, but the word for in the end, right the end in Hebrew, the word is aka Reese, right? curries might not be pronouncing it perfectly correct Hebrew in Hebrew, but the word is aka Reese, you can you can look it up for yourself and again mockeries simply means the end of a matter what is the end and so some We can look at in little personal matters, right? So wisdom thinks about the end, right? wisdom thinks about the big picture wisdom that looks up to God as, as Santiago read the beautiful opening, the Insta Bible verse for today those opening words in Psalm 19 right you know the heavens declare the glory, the glory of God, right? The look when you look to look at the heavens, right when you look up the skies, right they have today they send forth their message. When we looked up the it makes us look to God. But a lot of times we don't look up and listen to what the heavens are saying, right? And look in and consider God. ask God for wisdom. We look at what is going on around us. We want to be accepted by the tribe we want. Or we feel like we've been we've been socially distancing. We feel isolated. We want to get involved with something our lives become meaningless. So We're gonna burn it all down, and we're going to build something better. Be careful, be careful, you might just be joining something that's leading to destruction. And so where I, my wife, and I've prayed about some of the things that have went on some of the police brutality and we've just felt the Lord thing. exalt me, exalt Christ. You know, we let your hearts be troubled. And we want to think about before we commit ourselves to something, where will this lead? What is the end of it going to lead to? And a lot of times, right now people, like don't see where the end is going. They're just getting involved, and we see how these protests seemingly got hijacked or have been turned into Riot so quickly, and some people were protesting then we're losing And what happens if it was a pure movement that they should have shut the writing down. But it very quickly devolved into something that's that doesn't have a good end. And you saw if you've seen the breaking news, what's going on in Seattle, there's been a whole six blocks of downtown Seattle that have been hijacked right now. Where's the end of this movement? Right. It's it's, it's not a good place. And a lot of the, if you study history, a lot of these anti christ movements that sprung up in different countries that killed millions of people, persecuted Christians horribly shut down freedom of speech and freedom of religion. And they started with these movements, that peep that said, they're going to bring justice and they were communists movements. Were going to bring justice for the people. And then they brought tyranny, absolute tyranny. Because they were allowed to go on and some of the people that started them, and people that got on the bandwagon were some of the first victims. And they would use they would have these fantasies, it seems right, we're going to bring justice in our own power. And it was, it was a utopian manmade salvation, that only brought death and destruction in the end. But people didn't. They didn't look to God, if they would have God would have got them out of it, he would have gave them wisdom. But they they went with what seemed right in the moment. And they would use this phrase, if you hear people showing this phrase, and I'm seeing it, the end justifies the means. The means, right? I don't know if you've heard that. It's a phrase that a lot of these communist dictators. So what that means it's absolute antichrist in its spirit, again, the term the end, so there and in their mind, they're saying, well, the end is going to be this utopia. So it justifies whatever we have to do to achieve It will lie will spill will cheat, will burn will loot will destroy a man's character, all these things are totally against God. If it achieves what we want in the end, well, they'll never get their desired end because God won't allow it. He'll allow for them to do certain things. So that's what's been on my heart, to be honest with you that might not be popular. That might not be what you're thinking. But that's what I felt the Lord put on my heart. And I want to I'm praying that God will open people's eyes that are just seemingly doing what is popular. And when I see all the major corporations, the biggest corporate digital power companies, you know, Amazon, Facebook, Netflix, and they're seemingly supporting this movement without knowing where it's leading. They're not doing it. I believe that because these corporations are doing stuff where most of us partake of them. They're part of our daily lives. We're consumers, right? And so they're supporting us like, well, we have to, we have to be in agreement because if we don't maybe we'll get censored maybe we'll get kicked off their platforms, but they're doing it to protect they're not they're doing it out of their own corporate interests, right. They're not doing if it's against their interests, they're they think they're gonna be gonna be on the they're doing what seems right to their Corporation, but I think if they're not careful, they may be feeding the beast right? And if you appease a mob, you only increase the mob. And then if you're in agreement with the mob, then you have to meet all the mobs demands. So anyway, these are things to consider before we start to, to support a movement because it's trendy. So God looks at the heart. He does God knows all of us he create yet we all have a color of our skin. We all there's different Isn't those are beautiful and God created diversity. But what links us what connects us together in unity in Christ? It's the Holy Spirit. It's our hearts. Why have a brotherhood with Santiago it's, it's a unity of faith. And we have differences culturally in our background. But what's deeper than those things, those surface level things, those those superficial things are, that is where our foundation of who we are, is built upon Christ. And that's who it should be with, and that's with my wife as well. And that's with anybody who's close in my life that I'm really close with is it's the it's the connection of the Spirit. So that's my foundation. And I want to close with a New Testament story. There were two of disciples of Jesus that were influenced by the antichrist spirit that want to hijack Jesus movement. Real quickly, in closing, connecting the thought about there's a way that leads that there's a way that seems right to man but in the end, it leads to death. Right and quick with it before so we can transition into prayer. So a lot of people want to Jesus Of course, including his own disciples, if you're the Messiah, they want him to overthrow Rome, right? They want we want you to bring justice to the Jews. They've been oppressed and we we want to King we want to Kings gonna bring this, you know, restored to Israel to its glory on earth. And they didn't understand Jesus. Well, I'm coming I'm gonna first I'm coming as a lamb I'm gonna, I'm gonna be a suffering servant. That was the first call of the Messiah, right? Yes, he's a conquering King, but first, his first kingdom to conquer is going to take away the power of the evil. He's going to get the spiritual kingdom first. And then if the kingdom that's not just temporal, it's an eternal kingdom. But even Peter right, Peter, Peter was influenced The evil one you can read it in Matthew 16, right? Jesus rebuked Peter Jesus. Yeah. Um, Peter had heard from, you know, he said Jesus was the Messiah and Jesus praise them since you're right. Flesh and blood is not reveal this to you. And then Jesus says, Yeah, I'm gonna go up to Jerusalem, I'm gonna be arrested, beaten, and I'm going to, I'm going to be crucified. And on the third day, I'm going to be raised from the dead. Peter interrupts him. It says, never Lord, no, Jesus, you're wrong. You're wrong. You're You're the Messiah. And Jesus, you can read it, read it for yourself. And Matthew 16 says, Get behind Me, Satan, you have you do not have in mind things of God. The only the things is man, you are a stumbling block to me. So you see how the verse in Proverbs right connects Peter was being influenced in that moment. He thought he had a way that he seemed right to him, no Jesus. He was being influenced by a different spirit in that moment, antichrist spirit Satan. He didn't recognize it, but it seemed right to him. But he didn't see where it end right? And he wasn't thinking about God. Maybe that's where you are listening maybe I see a lot of Christians that are posting in there they're not posting about God in in the in the right spirit I posted about that we're gonna be very Vengeance is mine saith the Lord and it's the fallen into that trap that Peter did. And if they look to the Lord said you're not safe you do not have in mind the things of God you're having the mind that things have mad right now. And if your eyes were open up this path leads to death. So many eyes be opened up. And so Jesus rebuked them, but Peter didn't repent at first, right? They get up to the Last Supper And Jesus says, you know, you're all going to leave. Right? And Peter says, No, Lord, I'm never gonna leave you. Oh go to death with you. And Jesus says it's very nice. You're gonna deny you know me three times. And you know what happens? You keep reading Peter Cook His own sword he still wants to defend in his own. He wants to defend Jesus and his own power. He cuts off the air of one of the Roman guards. Jesus kills them and he rebuked Peter again. He said, those who live by the sword die by the sword. Right? And then Peter runs off, but he still thinks he's still gonna say Jesus. He denies even those Jesus three times right there, the cowardness came out, and he was in self preservation mode. Jesus was right. Now Peter repented. Peter repented, God set him free. And of course, we know, Peter was chosen by God to be the keynote speaker on Pentecost. But he had to overcome the fear of man trying to please man and try to do Brent trying to bring justice in his own power. God is the one who brings justice and God prefers mercy over justice. Because we try to do justice in our own hands will only bring more justice. All right, the other one was influenced by the Antichrist. Was Judas a scared, right? He wanted he was a zealot. He wanted Jesus to do a revolution to but but Judas didn't repent, and Judas betrayed Jesus. And then Judas took justice into his own hands, and his final act of self righteousness and hung themselves. And it says, of course, that Satan entered Judas. So it's very clear in the text, that both were influenced by the Enter Christ spirit, if we're not careful, we can be as well. We can be caught up in a moment, what seems right in our human eyes, if we don't take it to God will be led to a path that leads to destruction that leads to death. So I want to pray for repentance for for you out there, that if we got our eyes off of Jesus, that we would redirect our focus. And and if we don't want to be apathetic, no, we want to ask God for justice. But he's the one that will bring it but then our hearts will get filled with hate. So far, right now those listening, open up their eyes, open up all their eyes. What's been send a spirit of repentance and revival and I pray for those that are caught up in these movements that are leading to death. Those who who use called like Peter, but are being influenced by the antichrist spirit Lord opened their eyes to the evil that has been infiltrated into those movements, open their eyes to see where it's leading, and give them a spirit of contrition like Peter, and where they would print, repent and turn to you and your will would be done in their lives call the Protestants home father. We pray for salvations and for your body, your Christians, your sons and daughters who are with the Holy Spirit. Help us to just send out a call for revival for salvation for our own only true self is in is in the name of Jesus. And you're the only one Lord who can bring through just so we pray for revival. We pray that people that that there would be great repentance over our leaders of all different worldviews, all different titles. And I thank you for what you're doing, Lord, I was blessed to see some of the roundtable in Dallas with these African American faith leaders and ministries with with President Trump. Yesterday, I pray you would help people to see the recording of that online mode. That was inspiring your name was lifted up at the church of Robert Morris, in Dallas. Look, I pray for more of that, Lord. We do pray and there's a desire for it for the road. Police officers that are making a bad name for the police officers in America that. Those cops would be exposed and that that that would not be tolerated, that police brutality would not be tolerated Lord, but we pray that those agendas to, to bring chaos and disorder into our society and to bring more death and destruction, that you would shut down those voices, you would expose them and that they would get no further traction, Lord, and they would be exposed as well. We pray for just great stories of reconciliation of redemption, a revival in that you turn this moment, this time of 2020 into a perfect moment, a moment of clarity, where you expose the truths of people's hearts. And people would be unashamed and unafraid to exalt and lift up the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ entered worship you and spirit in a truth. So we ask that you would release new songs of worship. have new friendships of faith, new connections of ministry, that your body would live for your kingdom, that your will would be done on earth as it is in heaven and all of our lives Lord, and we will not be caught up in these distractions Lord and and that people that are in churches one way or the other that are missing the mark about your kingdom and they're getting caught up in manmade political movements that are dangerous and being motivated by the antichrist spirit. They might even use biblical language but perverting it in the wrong way and twisting it will ask Lord that you would expose that in those who you have in their Lord that are you would convict them to get out that they would not go down with ships that they would not they would get out of the fire. They would get out before it burns to the ground. Thank you, Lord. We trust you We love you and we ask these things in Jesus name. Amen.

He's a minister, speaker, position husband and CEO at Nicole Chavez ministries. James, welcome to the Insta Bible cast.

James Chavez Thanks, man. I'm really excited to be with you today.

Santiago Leon So we both met and worked together about eight years ago here in South Florida. And now you're up in Long Island, New York. Tell us what, what have you been up to these days?

James Chavez Well, certainly not enjoying the crystal clear, warm waters of South Florida, that's for sure. It has been a long cold winter here in New York. But, man, you know, it's been a wild ride. You know, we were kind of just catching up. You and I and it's been a hot minute since we got to hang out. It's been about eight years, I think. But going back even further. I was a bank vice president when I asked my wife to marry me. It was so much 24 years ago, she said yes, as long as you promise to never work for a church, that was her answer to my marriage proposal. So from day one, I had to shake and agree that I would never go into ministry because both our dads were pastors. So I did my best to keep that promise. And as you know, fast forward several years, God had other plans. He had me leave my banking career and get into ministry. And that's when you and I met, we got to serve at a church for a while together, and my wife and I have served at churches together. And the funny thing is, I've always kind of been the front guy, worship pastor, executive pastor, lead pastor teaching pastor, and my wife has been on staff. She's a great team leader, great communicator, wise leader in her own right. But about three years ago, we really felt like it was the right time to start a ministry together. And we kind of reversed roles where she's kind of the front person. She's authored two or three books now that have been published and we have the privilege of having her speak at conferences and churches and different events. And I get to run the operations from the back end and do some coaching And different things as well. But that brought us here. There was a church here on Long Island that asked if we would partner and help with some multi site initiatives, the largest church on Long Island as a matter of fact, that just keeps growing. And so that's what brought us out of the South up to the the tundra northeast. So that's been a learning experience for us. We had to buy a lot of jackets to say the least my friend.

Santiago Leon Yeah, when I moved to Virginia, I had to buy some jackets, long johns, but they use it used to it, you know, and you start wearing sweaters and things like that. But it's funny because because I think winter weather brings good fashion, I think I think when you're in the summer, you're kind of limited to T shirt and shorts. I mean, yeah, you can be fashionable, but I think you could do a lot more creativity with the winter or fall. Where so how is the energy up in Long Island versus South Florida is similar or does New York still has more? Way more energy?

James Chavez You know, that's a great question. And There are a lot of, I think, stereotypes that people would associate My only reference I'd spent a lot of time in Manhattan, but where we are, we're about 3040 minutes east of the city. And I pictured like, I don't know, Jerry Seinfeld episodes or friends. So that was my only reference of like New York, right living here. But really on Long Island, it's beautiful suburbs. You know, you've got access to the city, but it is suburban life for the most part. So ironically enough, I had to tone it down. I came from South Florida. And, you know, I had the South Florida colors and the flamboyant fashion. And everybody here wears green, black. And so I had to really kind of change my wardrobe to fit into the culture. So it took a little bit but they've been patient while we figured it out.

Santiago Leon Yeah, it is. Almost the capital of fashion. And, yeah, it's absolutely right. How's the whole car like the whole pandemic? I know that you guys are in the epicenter, but how have you been? been handling it?

James Chavez Yeah, man, that's that's been crazy to just, again a roller coaster of emotions in terms of you know, one day thinking, wow, you know, this is kind of crazy. I can't believe we're in the middle of it you know, people are dying all around us. This is a big deal. I got a I got a been a little you know, cellophane bubble never leave my house. And then the next minute you kind of think, well, life's kind of normal. It goes on we've had issues before we'll get past it. Maybe it's not that big a deal. You know. So I find myself from day to day really swinging back and forth. But yeah, the lockdowns have been really severe and they've been going on for a long time. I mean, the funny thing and not to make light of it but it's really changed the way we eat. We really had to stock up on some good food because we can't we don't have access to all the restaurants and and great eating that we used to have. So we have the best snack food in my house and I think we've probably ever had you know, we took the advice and we stocked up on a couple of weeks worth of food and snacks. So we've got the best snacks that I can remember having like in my adult life. So that's a good part. And you might say, well, what's the problem with that, James, but the bad part is I'm on a health kick. So I lost 15 pounds. You know, over the last year and a half, I've been eating healthy. I've been staying strong. And I think over the last couple of months, I've powered through as much food as I did the whole months of 2020 leading up to this so I'm afraid if I keep it up, I'm not getting it all right back so I gotta be careful.

Santiago Leon Yeah, that's that's one of the things where you're limited with what you can eat. And like, imagine if there is a little bit more stringent with the restrictions on what have you heard about churches starting up there? Is this something I know that like, there's no phase one, I believe in New York or maybe at certain parts, but you have an idea when your church will start up again, or, I mean, like, I mean, of course of doing online, but like in person type of thing.

James Chavez Yeah, no, that's a great question. And really the governor, if you've seen this is made national news and he's really kind of playing it day by day. So really, his philosophy is Loosen restrictions lightly and then wait and see what results are. So my understanding is probably by the end of this week, he's loosening restrictions to allow churches to meet up to 10 people. So gatherings of no larger than 10. So obviously, for churches on the island that really just means maybe like a life group or a small group, you know, it's not really a congregation meeting for worship on Sunday. So it's still primarily going to be online. And then, you know, we'll just wait and see if in a couple of weeks he changes that or if it's going to be another month. So really, I anticipate it's going to be the better part of the year before we really see churches able to worship they were where they were, the church that we're at, we're making plans to even figure out ways to have kind of like almost like a comedy club feel once we can meet more than 10 where you've got like high top tables and some chairs and they're all spread out across the auditorium instead of just rows of chairs so it doesn't look as weird where you're having to skip rows and chairs and take them off. So we have the flexibility we, you know, the chairs can come up, they're not bolted down. So we thought let's just kind of create a vibe that feels intentional about the way we have to spread out. But yeah, it's certainly forcing some innovation and creativity.

Santiago Leon Yeah, that's something that that that way I've been working. I mean, I've been thinking about because I work with churches a lot. And you know, especially mega churches, I think, what's gonna happen for the most part of the year I think they're gonna have to just do you know, small groups in person. I think, you know, there's a lot of churches that have that system already rolled out already, but now they're just gonna have to Hey, you know, if you want to, but but like, my question is, will they do all like via like, one morning for Sunday or just for out throughout the whole week? I don't know. I think they're gonna live by I think the small groups me just have some fellowship, you know, 10 people or less or maybe a little bit more but that should be quite interesting how the whole dynamic This is very historic. So anyways, I want to pray and then James will take the ship and lead us to our our devotion for this episode. sewed Lord, we thank you Lord for today. Lord, we thank You, Lord for what you're going to do and what you're doing already, Lord touched people's hearts changed our lives. And we pray Holy Spirit to speak through James and I prayed that this word will be encouraging to others touch others. persons that don't know you, Lord, that they will see you and that your light will shine through this podcast in Jesus name. Amen.

James Chavez Amen. Thanks, Santiago, man. Well, as I was mentioning before, really the the pandemic, especially up here in New York, but even across the country, everyone's felt it at some level. It's really weighing heavily on our minds and it what it's causing Christians in the church to do is really increase their dependence on God and a lot of ways we figured out ways to do church in our own power. You know, we have great programming, great facilities, great stuff, and we create this momentum in this machine, and everything just kind of got turned upside down. Right. You know, I kind of joked about my my eating, you know, I have to make sure that I stay committed To my health plan even during this time when there's less accountability, there's really only my wife watching me. So, but partially surrendering to something isn't going to get me the results I'm looking for. So if I partially surrender to my healthy meal plan or a healthier lifestyle, I'm not going to get the results that I completely want if I you know, if I were to surrender to it right the way around it. So Proverbs chapter three, you may be familiar with it three, verses five through and here's the way I'm going to read it out PSP version, Trust in the Lord with some of your understand your lean on your own understanding and some of your ways acknowledge Him, and you can make your own path straight. Okay, so that's proverbs three, five through six and the PSP version. And you might be wondering, you know, Santiago, you got into the Bible app, you're Christian, you've read the Bible. I don't know if you know you're, you're curious. PSP. I don't know if we have access to that and our instant app. Well, ESP starts it's partially sighted. A rendered version. So you probably don't have that one. Because that's not a legitimate version of the Bible. But I think it's fun because for a lot of Christians, that's the way we live sometimes, right? We, we think, okay, I'll get a splash of Christianity, I'll give God a little bit of control. That's not the way the verse reads, we know that it's not actually what God's plan is. But a lot of times, that's the way we live. I'll give you an hour on Sunday for church if there's nothing else going on or a global pandemic, but I'm not going to give you my Friday and Saturday nights because you know, that's party time, and I want my time, right. Or I'll give you some quiet time every now and then. But I won't let you influence the movies. I watch the music I listened to or the things that I let consume my mind and my heart. Or I'll trust you to my salvation. I want fire insurance from Hell, I don't want to go to hell. So save my soul. But I don't trust you with my kids or with my health, or that you'll be able to protect my family or my kids. I'll take care of myself right I got this or I'll follow the church on Facebook or or subscribe to a podcast or listen to some religious things. But I'm not gonna trust you with my time or my money, or I'm not really going to step out of my comfort zone and serve, right? And we see that in the way we live. Sometimes I believe God can answer other people's prayers, but I don't know if he'll answer mine. So I don't know if you're like me, but sometimes we live that way. You know, I believe God's big. I believe he can do what he said he will do. But then we sometimes have a little question mark, when it comes to our lives. Can you really help me in this time of the pandemic, protect my health and my finances? Not we're worried about this or that right? God, I'll give you what I'm worried about give you this, this virus, my job, my finances my job. But then the next day, we take control right back, we start worrying and stressing about it, and we don't trust him completely. It reminds me of a funny story. Back in the 19th century, the greatest tightrope walker that ever lived. His name was Charles Blondin, and you may have heard of him. On June 30 1859, he became the first man in history to walk on a tightrope right up here in New York across Niagara Falls. So from the falls side on New York all the way to the Canadian side. Over 25,000 people gathered to watch him walk 1100 feet suspended on a tightrope. 160 feet above the raging water 25,000 people, you got to understand that we didn't have a tick tock yet. We didn't have Instagram yet. We didn't have YouTube or Netflix. People were starved for entertainment. So 25,000 people turned out to watch this guy risk his life and walk across this tightrope with no nets, no safety harness, any slip would prove to be fatal until he reached the Canadian side, right. But once he got across the very first time in 1859, the crowd went wild. They burst into tears and roars I mean, this was the greatest thing they'd ever seen. Well, then the days that followed that record setting walk, he'd walked 300 more times across the falls 300 That's amazing. This guy just couldn't get enough unstoppable. Once he walked across on stilts. Another time he took a chair and a stove with him. Went middle of the falls halfway across the rope stopped cooked a meal on the stove, and then lowered it to the mate of the midship below and then continued his walk. This guy was crazy a showman of all showman. Once he pushed a wheelbarrow across with 350 pounds of cement. Another time he walked across with his manager on his back. I mean, this guy was just always looking for something sensational. He was an amazing guy. So one time he was sitting on the sidelines, he was about to walk across, and the cheering crowds were cheering him on. And he said, Hey, do you think I could carry one of you in a wheelbarrow across this tightrope? And the crowd just cheered? Absolutely. They were approving high five and Yellin we believe it? Well, he saw one of the guys in the crowd that was cheering the loudest. And he said, Sir, do you think I could carry you across in this wheelbarrow across the falls? He said, Well, of course, and then blogged and said, well then get in. Well, the man politely refused, because he didn't really want to put his money where his mouth was. That makes sense though, because that's about like us, we believe. A man can walk across by himself. It's another thing to believe he can safely carry you across. But it's something else entirely to get in the wheelbarrow yourself that takes faith and trust. That's what we do with God. I trust you, God, I believe in you. I know you can work out the situation, I believe you can I think you can I know you can. I think you can. I think you can write like the little train that could I believe you can do it. But I don't know if you can do it. Right. I believe you can I want to believe you can. I want to get in the wheelbarrow. But I don't know if I'm going to put my trust in you completely and actually get in the wheelbarrow. I feel like that describes me. And there's another story in Mark chapter nine that really describes this, I think perfectly. Jesus was asked to heal a man Sutton and the disciples. They were in a large crowd, they were approaching them and as usual, the religious leaders they're causing trouble. So Jesus easy arguments broken out and he asked them what they're arguing about. So this is where it picks up in verse 17. says one of the men in the crowd spoke up and said, teacher Brought you my son so you could heal him. He's possessed by an evil spirit that won't let him talk. And whenever the spirit seizes him, it throws him violently onto the ground. Then he forms at the mouth, he grinds his teeth and becomes rigid. So I asked your disciples to cast out the evil spirit, but they couldn't do it. Jesus said to them, You faithless people, How long must I be with you? How long must I put up with you bring the boy to me. So they brought the boy. But when the evil spirits saw Jesus, it threw the child into a violent convulsion, and he fell into the ground riding and foaming at the mouth. How long has this been happening? Jesus asked the boy's father, you replied since he was a little boy. The spirit often throws him into the fire and into the water trying to kill him. Have mercy on us and help me if you can. Here's what I love about that verse. Here's what really gets good. Verse 23. Here's what Jesus says about that statement. What do you mean if I can, Jesus answered? He said, anything is possible if a person believes the father instantly cried out I believe, but helped me overcome my unbelief.

James Chavez That's powerful, right? I believe that helped me overcome my unbelief. I don't know how many times I have found myself saying that very thing. I pray I trust. I mean, I'm a pastor for crying out loud. I'm supposed to be holier than everybody else, right? I'm supposed to not even let my feet touch the ground when I walk. But the reality is, I have doubts too. I have questions too. And I have to have God. Help me with my unbelief. I so identify with this God helped me overcome this unbelief. I sort of believe you, but not all the way. So in my mind, that brings me to the moment of truth, I really want to believe. But God, I need to be honest, I don't fully trust you with and then I say, fill in the blank. Whatever it is, I don't trust you with what? Whatever it is right now that you don't fully trust God with and if you're like me, God, put something in your mind immediately. When you're honest enough to say, God, I don't trust you fully with this. You can't hide it from God. I'm going to be perfectly honest with you. It's not a secret. He already knows the area, you don't fully trust him. So saying it out loud isn't a big reveal to God. It's just helping him and you connect on a deeper level. So I encourage you if you're listening right now, what is it that you don't fully trust God with because there's a lot to be afraid of right now, God, I don't fully trust you with this virus outbreak. I don't fully trust you with my children. I don't fully trust you with my salvation. I don't fully trust you with my finances or to help protect my job or to help me get another job since I lost the last one. I don't know if you have what's best for me, or my loved ones. I don't know if you can heal me if I get sick. But this is where the rubber meets the road. I honestly have to say God, I don't fully trust you with and then fill in the blank. as followers of Christ, we don't want to be half hearted Christians, right? We want to believe in God. Yet live a partially surrendered life is not going to get you the outcome you want. Where's the hope in that? And in times like this, when the world sucks you in the gut, you really need some hope. I mean, we look around and the world is literally broken like Everything has come to a grinding halt. If anytime in our lifetimes we were going to look around and say the sky is literally falling, it would be now. Everything is in chaos. We need some hope. So how do you find hope? Well, it's in fully surrendering. Well, how do you live a fully surrendered life? That's the million dollar question. You have to develop wholehearted trust in God. Easy to say really hard to do. We looked earlier proverbs three, five and six and the partially surrendered version. But let me show you what Solomon really was intending for us when he wrote this and you got to remember Solomon, he was the wisest man that ever lived right? He was the son of David the king. He asked God for wisdom God gave him supernatural wisdom. So he literally was recorded as being the wisest man who ever lived. And this is what he said, Trust in the Lord with all your heart. don't depend on your own understanding, seek His will in all you do. And he will show you which path to take. That was out of the NLT version. The ni v says it All your way submit to Him. The New American Standard Version says in all your ways acknowledge Him. The Hebrew word for acknowledges yada. That's not Yoda. It's yada, yada. It's an action word that means coming to know to submit by observing, reflecting or experiencing. This word literally means coming to know. We want God to prove himself so we can trust him. But God wants us to trust him so he can prove himself. That's good right there. You joke that I'm on Twitter. Somebody should tweet that because that's good right there. You can't miss the order. We want God to prove himself so we can trust Him, but He wants us to trust him so he can prove himself. The order really matters. Faith has to come first. Hebrews 11 six says without faith, it's impossible to please God. Right? That's where it all starts. The reality is the reason we don't really trust God. Here it is. You ready Santiago? Do it. It's because we don't really know God. Wow, ouch. Yeah. drop the mic moment.

James Chavez It's not a trust issue, if we don't know him as well as we should. I remember years ago hearing john ortberg say it this way. He said, when people doubt, they may tell themselves, I may have to try harder to have faith. But faith isn't the kind of thing that you just try harder to get right? Just kind of you wish it remember that old Snickers commercial where the guy's like, he has no hair and he's like trying to will this air on his forehead to grow. He's pushing really hard and this one little hair just pops up. But I picture that when I think of trying so hard to have faith. I just I'm trying I'm trying I'm pushing with everything in me. I hope I can do this. But it's not something that you can do by trying harder. Imagine if someone says to you, I find myself doubting Old Faithful, you know Old Faithful, right? It's the geyser located in Yellowstone National Park. This thing got its name because it's well what? Pretty faithful. it erupts like clockwork, you can set your clock by it. It's very faithful. So if somebody comes up and says Santiago, I'm doubting that I can trust Still faithful to be faithful? Well, I'm not sure it can be trusted, your response wouldn't be well just try harder to believe. Because if you just try harder, you'll believe it's faithful. The advice I'd give a person like that would be just hang around old, faithful, get to know old, faithful better, because Old Faithful is faithful, the better you get to know it, the more you're going to trust it. Time will tell when you stand there and watch it erupt. On the hour like clockwork, you're going to realize it can be trusted. The same is true with God. You never have to try to have more faith. Just get to know God better. And because God is faithful, the better you know him, the more you'll trust him. So that simple, again, easy to say, really hard to do. But that's really what it boils down to. It isn't hard to trust God in the situation, when you know who he is. But when the situation's hopeless, that's when you really find yourself struggling and grappling with these things. But you have to trust God one step at a time. He said you're a light into My feet a lamp into my feet a light into my path, right? He didn't say headlights. He didn't say a spotlight. I'm on Long Island we have a lot of lighthouses. It's not a lighthouse lamp blazing the light into the night. He said, it's a lamp unto my feet that denotes just enough light to see the very next step, one step at a time. I wish I knew how it was going to end. But we don't. God wants our trust. And if we knew how things were going to turn out, we might not have to trust right? We know the right step, we can just boldly step into it. But he wants reliance independence on him. He knew if we knew everything, it would be too overwhelming and we probably couldn't take it. I know I couldn't. So if I knew this pandemic was coming, I probably would skip 2020 right I just said you know what, just freeze me and cryogenic sleep and wake me up when it's done right. But we had to take the steps and trust him day by day, one day all of this will make sense but until then, we have to do a proverbs three five through six says that's the answer. Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Don't lean on your own. Understand. seek His will and all you do, he'll show you which path to take. acknowledge him submit to Him. He'll make your paths straight. I love the fact that the African Impala can jump over a 10 foot high fence. Did you know that it's not just a cool car that Chevy made? The Impala is a legit animal that can jump straight up in the air over a 10 foot high fence. That's a crazy jump. They can jump a distance of over 30 feet 10 feet high. 30 feet across. That's amazing. But here's what's even crazier you go to the the Central Park Zoo here in New York. And you can see these Impalas they're kept in with only a three foot high wall. They can jump 10 feet up in the air and 30 feet across. But they don't leave their little pin that only has a three foot high wall. Why do you think that is? Crazy, right? Yeah. They won't jump if they can't see what's on the other side. In that interesting, I think incredible. They have the ability But if they can't see what's on the other side, they won't take the leap of faith. That's exactly the problem that we have most of the time. God's given us a spirit of power, not of timidity or fear. We have the ability to make the leap, but we can't see what's on the other side. So sometimes we're afraid to take that next step. And that's where God wants us to trust him. Sometimes we have to take the leap of faith. And then finally have to step out of our comfort zone. Know the goodness of God, know the love of God. Know the faithfulness of God. take the leap of faith.

James Chavez Trust Him with all your heart. don't depend on your own understanding, seek His will in all you do, and he'll show you which path to take. I love that. And for me, that's really been what it's all about. That's kept me energized and sane. During this pandemic. This lockdown is knowing that I can't rely on my own understanding in my own understanding. This is this thing's a mess. Like there's no way out of it. There. When are they going to get back Maxine isn't going to reemerge in the fall, are people going to get their jobs back? Is the economy ever going to rebound? Is it going to even happen in my lifetime? Right? All these questions swirling around you watch the news, and it can be overwhelming. So I can't depend on my own understanding. I have to depend on God's I have to acknowledge him, ask him what his will is. Take the light in him, trust Him, know him. That's where my confidence that's where my joy can be found. So that's the word I wanted to share with you today. I hope it encourages somebody like it has encouraged me throughout these crazy months,

Santiago Leon has encouraged me a lot and like you were saying, you know, trusting guy that will get you to the other side of the bridge. Let's pray right now. For all the people out there that are looking for hope, for trust, for confidence. There is Jesus that can give you that give you that hope that give you that peace. And, Lord, we pray, Lord, for people out there that are dealing with any type of financial Need, Lord. We pray that they'll that first you'll give them peace, Lord that that you will provide Lord and we pray that that people out there that are thinking about their job last Lord, we pray that they'll get a job soon Lord and we pray for this, this whole pandemic, in Jesus name that anyone that's dealing with the virus we pray for healing, Lord and we also pray for healing anyone also dealing with mental illness with anxiety, depression, Lord, we pray to give him peace in Jesus name. Peace. Lord, You are the light. You have demonstrated throughout time that you have common and come in and certain times and use people Lord Jesus, you're good. You're a good good father. James, if you could pray for people out there that are dealing with any type of money issues or, or any type of insecurities with jobs and everything. Please pray for them.

James Chavez Absolutely, Father, as Jesus said, when he was here on Earth, our heavenly Father knows our needs even before we ask, and is we've even shared today prayer communication with you. Having the freedom to cry out isn't to inform you of our problems in our situation, you're well aware of it. We know during this time, it can look like you're absent. But I pray that people listening are reminded that that's not the case at all. You're involved. You care about our comings and goings, and you use every situation for our good, and for your perfect plan. And so through this Father, I pray that we have the confidence to come before you, you said and in all things, don't be anxious about anything. But pray about everything, tell our Heavenly Father what we need, and he will help in our time of need. So I pray that people follow through with that very simple formula that you laid out for us because we can be anxious about the loss of income, about the loss of jobs, about the loss of normalcy, human touch. In some cases, it's it is sanity, pure and simple. We're worried about human contact, and it's changed everything about the way we relate to our world around us. I pray for peace, supernatural peace that can only come from you not from the circumstance or situation. But the people know that you care. You have the loving embrace waiting for them. If they're ready to take it. They can find comfort in you. And you own everything. You have the power to provide. I've heard so many stories of of miracles happening, food showing up money appearing when when it didn't seem like it could. You are faithful, if we trust you. And that's what it all comes down to acknowledge you and trust you first, seek your kingdom and your will first and everything else will be added. So I pray for us to keep our priorities straight, and not let the worries of this world keep us from focusing on the goodness of our God. Give us the confidence to know that you're still Good, you're still working a plan. These are light and momentary troubles, despite how it feels. This too will pass. Because you're the God that makes all things new. We love you and we celebrate you, thank you that we can trust you. And that the people listening and hearing my voice can trust in you as well. Simply by turning their life over to you, and putting their trust in you and letting you be Lord of their life. So much better. Thank you for loving us and giving us your best, even for our worst. It's in Jesus name that we pray.

James Chavez Oh, boy. I there have been days where it's been 10 to 12 hours non stop of zoom. It is unreal. I get a little zoomed out. The running joke and it's a little gross. But in our house, I kind of tease I'll say guys, I got to get up and walk around. I'm going to get bed sores. If I sit in this chair any longer. I feel like an invalid. I'm just You know, reduced to nothing more than staring at a screen and sitting in a chair. But every now and then I got to stretch my arms. My wife got me this apple watch for Christmas. So it keeps me in check. And I realized that tells me you haven't breathed, oh, you haven't stood, oh, you need to get some activity. So that keeps me sane in the midst of all the zoom calls. But the great thing is even Nicole in this time, since she can't travel and speak as much as she has been, she started a Facebook group called she connects. And we thought it would just be a couple people wanting through zoom or Facebook to connect. She's got almost 400 ladies who jumped in on this thing. And they're having weekly times where they memorize scripture. They're going through Bible studies. One of her other books is called the journey to purpose. And they're doing zoom studies through this. It's a six week study. And so a bunch of ladies from across the country, they're on zoom and she invited me to be a special guest on that a couple weeks ago and I got to hang out and in speak into that. So it's been a lot of fun. So there's a lot of opportunities for zoom, but I'm not gonna lie. I'm Want to enjoy being able to see people face to face three dimensional? Give them a high five and a hug? As soon as we can.

Santiago Leon I totally agree. I'm more of an in person guy and with zoom, you know what I've been doing lately? I've been doing like no video just doing audio. And I just, you know, walk around during the meetings. I mean, obviously, if there's a meeting that really needs to see my face, I'll do it. But typically, if it's not necessary, I just use it as like listening to a podcast.

James Chavez You know what I need, I need to try and take that advice. I'll just tell the guys on the other end, hey, they always tell me I have a face for radio. So don't mind if I mute my camera and I'm gonna just walk around.

Eric Olson Thank you brother Santiago. It's good to be back and Hi everyone. goblins Happy Friday May 8 2020.

Santiago Leon Eric give us a quick update we've been up to this past couple weeks before we head into our devotion

Eric Olson Yeah, well obviously we're still you know, locked down because of the corona virus and you know, I think things are slowly transitioning but it still seems like more or less at least out here in the Boise Idaho area. Um, it feels it still feels like everything is on lockdown even though the, you know, state government has is saving reasoning but From my standpoint and my family standpoint, it still feels like locked down. So in several weeks, basically have just been, you know, with the power. And I think the best way for me to be one to make the most of any situation, whether you're in lockdown in your house, whether you're stuck somewhere, whatever it is, and we can always seek the Lord in our heart and our mind, we can focus on him. That's why I'm a big advocate for memorizing scripture. Because if you don't have a Bible handy, then you can always, you know, look to the scripture that you sown to the part that you have put in your heart. And so I've just been seeking the Lord with a fresh intense intensity and I've been finding the Lord, you know, seeking you'll find and, and I believe the Lord has been giving me exciting ideas. I've been collaborating with my wife on some things, we work some things out that we didn't even realize we had to work out. But you know, just Something that when you're when, you know when you're around, obviously stuck together with, you know, blessed to be married and with a awesome believing wife and, you know, in this lockdown, we've been around each other more than normal. And so if there is any areas, unresolved areas, you know, the Lord has allowed us to those things to be, you know, I guess friction but then if we humble ourselves and bring them to the Lord, he smooth them out. So those are some of the things that I've been doing the last weeks and and I am grateful to God for everything that he's been doing in the last

Santiago Leon several weeks. I was watching a tick tock account from Tick Tock and this guy was from Idaho. And then I didn't realize that Idaho is a big part of the food supply chain. Like how often do you see I mean, I mean, obviously you're, you're in Boise, but do you notice that around Is that something? That's pretty the big night. Oh,

Eric Olson yeah, a lot of agriculture Of course, nationwide. Idaho is known for its famous potato. Right, you know, they have. Yeah. And they grow. I mean, there's thousands and thousands of acres of, you know, potato crops. And I mean, probably hundreds of thousands in the whole state. So, you know, it's a bigger state and but it's not a huge population. So it's a bigger state in terms of square mileage, but the population is, you know, pretty small

Eric Olson Oh, by far more potatoes and people so I don't know that say it's, it's growing. It's a really beautiful state. And it's, it's I you know, it's nice. I hear that people are very nice. The culture is nice. And so I think it's maybe right now, if you Google it, it's maybe 1.5 million population, but it's probably closer to 2 million but you know, that's tiny, like You know, compared to theirs, of course, there's a lot of cities that are bigger than that whole population of Idaho. So but they have agriculture's bigger here not it's not just potatoes, they grow all sorts of, you know, different crops, all sorts of different vegetables, fruits, I mean the cherry cherry orchards out here a big blueberry mint. I mean, you name it, I guess because it's interesting Idaho's in the Pacific Northwest but southern Idaho is actually high desert and so you don't we don't get a lot of precipitation but we have like the Snake River and other rivers. So irrigation you know, the water from the from the rivers is what really helps grow the crops in southern Idaho, northern Idaho. You get you know, more rain but yeah, it's a beautiful state. And they're they do they're really big on the food production. And the China the chain of supply or the supply chain. Yeah,

Santiago Leon yeah. And, you know, and like this guy was saying that things are are kind of backed up because yeah, they, you know, they're delivering to grocery stores, but they're not delivering to restaurants. So that backs up a lot. And I didn't realize restaurants are a big part when they purchase these crops,

Eric Olson big time and you know, they have those orders a lot of times, you know, or those contracts years in advance, you know. And so, probably, I would suspect that the, the restaurant industry has been hit the hardest, you know, or probably at least as hard as any other industry. I mean, hospitality industries in general. I mean, the theater you know, the movie cinemas have been hit or they've had to be closed but yeah, restaurants have been totally shut down and then obviously there's the ripple effect you know, they they're backed up because they have all this extra food. And so what's good though the food banks like the church I go to Boise Yes. This has happened, all the food they've been then have enough donations from these, these flyers have been seen all the local food bank, which is a good thing. But you know, I'm hoping that sooner than later that the restaurants will fully be open because I mean they were officially by the state ordered and this you know city ordered to be closed down. It was illegal for them to be open. So I think maybe like the next phase, they're going to be reopened. But, but my my concern is even if they do reopen most, a lot of the citizens are still sketchy, you know, not not, I would say, oh, there's a percentage, I'd say probably the majority, probably 60% of the people are going to be hesitant to go out right away to restaurants, they'll probably wait for a month or four until everything you know, really calms down. But then there's Idaho's a very independent a like like a lot of people like to you know, you know, kill the self route, personal responsibility. So in a lot of people feel have there's very mixed opinions about the whole Coronavirus. And I have people I know that are on total polar extremes about how they view it. Some people totally make you know, the lockdown needs to continue. And then there's other people that think it never should have happened in the first place. So, um, yeah, and I guess I'm, I'm not Yeah, I won't get into this is the Insta bio cast. I'm not trying to get into political stuff.

Santiago Leon But the political cast

Eric Olson is not a political class, but I would say, my values and my politically and worldview wise for society, you know, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And so that's why we have the Constitution, the first and second amendment are so important and whenever a government starts to infringe upon that I'm not in support of it, so I'll leave it at that.

Santiago Leon I told him to stand let's get into prayer and Eric will take this ship with with with his devotion, Lord Jesus, we thank you For today, Lord, we invite your presence Lord, speak through us speak through Eric, Lord be an instrument and we pray out there that that person that will have will have ears to hear, Lord, hear your message, because this is not for America. This is from you, Lord, and from you alone. We thank you George Jesus, and we thank you for what you can do. And and what are you gonna say in Jesus name. Amen.

Eric Olson Jesus. Amen. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Father, thank you for your anointing, Lord. Oh, I'm so encouraged and I encourage you to get on the ship. And, and flow with me here on this, this devotional here, and this is very timely, sharing my heart. And my wife came to me yesterday afternoon, mid afternoon, maybe around four o'clock or so. As she shared with me, I don't know if you've heard the breaking news, but it's all over the news. came out maybe a day, maybe two days ago, but I didn't hear about it. And so my wife, who if you don't know my wife happens to be African American, and she's from Georgia and she's from a small town in Georgia. And she also happens to be a runner she enjoys to jog. And she came to me with the news of this, this young 25 year old African American black man who was shot while jogging small town in southeastern Georgia, Georgia close to the border with you know, with Northeastern Florida and so it's all over the news right now. His name was Ahmed Aubrey and and it came I guess the details I'll try to make this quick here and then get into the scripture what's on the heart with related to this and what relates to us all how we can learn a lesson. Um, first of all, I believe God grieves you know about these things. But you know, you always want to get what's the truth of the situation. Every situation is unique, but a video came out and so the You know, his death actually happened in February but there was a video that was leaked, I guess. And now it's been published over all the media. And he was just jogging and he was an avid jogger. And there were, I just want to state the facts of the case. My allegiance is to the Lord and to the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth. So I'm not tribalistic about I just, you know, want to be objective. And when I saw that video, and I really believe it was an injustice. This is a man and his son and the men they thought that they were quick to judge him. He was jogging in their neighborhood, and they called 911. And they thought that he might be somebody who had who had robbed some place or they saw I'm looking into a house that was under construction. And they gotten their truck. The you can read all these details. They got in the truck and they took a shotgun and a pistol and they cut this jogger off, right they drove maybe 50 feet and probably in a video captures this young man jogging casually, up to them. And then next thing you know, the the, there's a tussle and the younger the son shoots him and he was shot three times and he dies. And I believe what I wanted to focus on the verse and in James that that's what's on my heart. So I want to be, you know, authentic. This all could have been avoided. They were afraid and they took they took justice into their own hands, they thought, and I believe this young man from all the evidence, he was completely innocent, you know, and that it could have been avoided. He was jogging and you can see it he wasn't running away from anybody. He would just jogging to run and They confronted him unnecessarily. And and then they shot him and I think it's a it's it is really outrageous and in my my wife obviously she felt a very a sense of grief and a sense of you know, this could have been my cousin you know type of thing and and I also think like what if you know, take take race out of the picture what if it was your cousin What if it was your brother or your friend that was a jogger you know that I really think there's no justification for what these men did. And I don't know what the law you know, I don't think it wasn't premeditated because they caught my one but I think their foolishness, their their rush to judgment, and their insensitivity led them to be vigilantes, and then they took matters into their own hand and then a man died and they really think, according to law, I think they both should serve some time in prison, perhaps. Perhaps a long time. I'm not sure it is more deep. Tough come out. But this is the verse in relation to that. And we can all learn from we can all avoid. That was a huge mistake, a life ending and life changing mistake for these people involved in their families. And the young man we should pray for his family. The young man is Ahmed Aubry and in families grieving and and you know, I some people might not like this we can pray, pray for the culprits to and pray for justice. But you know, pray. God prefers to have mercy. And so I do call for justice. Another verse in what I've heard about this when I talk with April because there's a sense of anger, but is waiting on the Lord again, be slow. So when people see this, a lot of people are quick to judge about this case. And I encourage people, Hey, be slow to judgment, right? So let me read the verse in James. This is the letter to James in the New Testament. It's chapter one, verse 19, and 20. And this happens to be in the end They'd be the New American Standard Bible. So this is what this you know, my beloved brethren, but everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger, for the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God. Now, I might read it again in another translation, but that's how that translation reads it. And so this father and son, they, they were, they were, instead of being to this, this Bible verse here God is exhorting us to be quick to hear quick another translation say quick to listen, right. So be quick to listen to other people that called My word be quick to listen to God. Be quick to listen when you know, the the 911 call in advise them to go and cut this young man off but they took matters into their own Hands. So instead of being slow to speak and slow to anger, they were quick to speak, which would which I associate, they were quick to prejudge. They were quick to judge the situation out of there. And they were quick to have anger rather than being slow. So that's why the title of this devotional cast is be slow. And what I mean in regards to that is just this verse, let's be slow to judge. A lot of times, there's so many variables, someone might be late, you know, to a color, they might, we don't know, maybe they're in a car wreck. So let's not judge their character by what happened. Maybe there's a very justifiable reason while and so this young man was jogging, and maybe if they instantly judged him, so, but how many times in our day when we interact with people, where we fail to, we're quick to judge that's just kind of our culture and there's an outraged culture with this. Same thing applies to people who are hearing about this news. Instead of getting the full letting it play out and praying for God's mercy praying for God's justice, and that is what we should do. But it's before we can make a judgement. We need to be slow to judge and we need to be slow to anger about what's happening and and pray for God's justice. And I just believe this incident incident highlights a lot of things that are going on in America as a whole there's so much division and and tribalism, if you want to call it you know, people against others. And we really need to see God and and God will bring will bring things into the light, he will make things clear, and he will bring justice and in the Lord says Vengeance is mine. So the Lord tells us don't take vengeance on other people, right? Don't. If someone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other as well, right Don't. Don't seek out a vendetta and don't. Don't slap them. Back, return evil with good, that's easier said than done. But with the Lord's help, we can do it. And so the second you know, verse there in James in this couple of here in first, the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God and IV it says the anger man does not bring about the righteousness of God. So we might be angry about something. There's a lot of things to be angry about. But that doesn't bring about the justice or the righteousness of God, our own personal anger, right? And so there's a verse in Romans two for two great verses says, again, translations might translate, it turns out, it's slightly different, but essentially off the top of my head here. That is the loving kindness of God that draws us to repentance. So God prefers God prefers to have mercy on us, and when we pretend and turn to Him, He holds back his judgment and he gives us His mercy, that delight to heart and that Jesus took our judgment, he took everyone's judgment. But if we refuse His mercy, if we harden the heart, then at some point, all that's left is his judgment. And I believe it grieves the heart of God that he doesn't delight in the death of the wicked. As it says in his EQ, he doesn't delight in people perish, and he wants all men to be saved. He wants all men to repent and come to the truth, and to walk in love, and to walk with the Lord. And so, think about your own life. Think about your family, your friends, or just maybe co workers, people you interact with, perhaps based on some how someone acts or someone dresses or maybe someone posted something on Facebook, and you were you were to judge them, right? Instead, it's slow, so we happen to peg them. This is how this person is. It's possible you were wrong. It might be even likely you were wrong. We can You just you took one moment and tag that person judge that person and what that when we jumped in, obviously, is another great verse in the Gospel of john is coming to my remembrance right now. surfacing in my spirit is gospel of john seven one chapter seven, verse 24. Jesus says, Do not judge by mere appearance, or do not judge by hour. Don't judge by what you see. Right outwardly, but make a righteous judgment. So there's a contrast that if we see something on the app, God sees the heart right? connect that verse really correlates with worth First Samuel 16 seven, I believe is when the prophet Samuel was choosing the next king of Israel. And God spoke to him and says, man looks on the outward appearance. But God sees the heart God judges the heart and so don't when you you're going to notice next king do not look at his higher stature right? So he obviously He, the Lord chose David, who was the youngest son of Jesse, which Jesse didn't even bring into the house. If you read the whole story there, he brought his six oldest sons and didn't even bring Jesse because how could he be the next king of Israel? He was the youngest son and he was the smallest, maybe just a little boy at that time out in the fields watching sheep, but he had the heart that God wanted. He was the smallest, and he was the shortest, but he had the heart. God wanted king of Israel. him as the Bible says David was a man after God's own heart. Well, you know what, God I believe we can ask God God make me a man after your own heart or if you're a woman make me a woman after your heart Lord, Lord just work you're willing to me Let Your will be done in my life, right not might have the heart of Jesus like in the garden that gets me where we cried out, Lord, not my will but your will be done. And so these this this father and son, if they were sensitive to the Lord, insensitive noise, spirit They would not have done what they did. And so it's a tragedy. But I pray that we pray that for mercy for justice, and we pray that good will come out of this we pray that the God will be glorified, and that the people will seek the Lord out of this. That's, that's what that's what I pray for. And going back to john 724, when Jesus says do not judge by outward appearance or by mere appearances, but judge righteously, so he's calling us to make discernment, we have to have discernment, we do have to make choices. Every time you make a choice, you're making a judgment call. am I choosing to make this commitment? Or am I not? Every time Jesus in the sermon amount says, Let your yes be Yes, let your and let your no be no. Anything beyond this is from the evil one. So every time we say yes to something, we're making a judgement. I am saying yes, that's a judgment call. Right? It's not the judgment. We're in john seven, you know, beginning of john, or not john, begin of Matthew seven where Jesus says, Do not judge. He's talking about that in the context of a position of a judge where you're condemning someone. But in terms of decisions, we have to make judgments, right? So it's important to make that distinction about the different meanings of Judge making it of judging. And so you don't call us the Lord God calls us to judge things, not in condemning no one, but making judgment calls. Is this of God. Is this not of God? Is this something I should commit to? Is it not? Is this a bad relationship? Do I need to cut it off? And the real key to making righteous Jesus says judge righteously? The key to judging rights righteously is seeking the Lord because he's the righteous judge. How can we judge righteously apart from the righteous one. We can't if we're only doing stuff in our own understanding, or our emotions that are like wage diplomacy, hot and cold, we'll miss the mark every time. So the way to judge righteously is to not be quick to judge by outward appearance, but slow ourselves down. Seek the Lord ask God and trust God, what is your perspective, Lord, because God is Spirit. And he is he transcends every nation, every tribe every time he beyond every ethnicity in every race, right? He's with john he beyond gender, right? God is Spirit. And so when we get God's heart, he helps us to see a T sees and he's got a love even got a mercy. And he's a God of truth. And so when we get the mind of Christ and the heart of God, and we can see by the eyes of spirit, they will be in a position to judge right to see And the righteous judgment of God is not being quick to anger. It's being slow to anger. God Himself is slow to anger. God Himself perhaps, is slow to speak. Right? He's very, his words are very intentional. He doesn't speak flippantly or just out of a spirit of gossip or anger, right? So if you're hearing this and you're on one side of this issue, you know, you know you're on you're really stirred up in your emotions about this issue or other issues. My encouragement to you and I'm gonna wrap this up and conclude and pray, but it's to seek God before you post something in a spirit of anger, that doesn't bring about the righteousness of God before you use it. And and you know, fit of rage that the Bible says is the work of the flesh. That doesn't bring glory. God. So when we see this in a situation of injustice like this, what can bring about the glory of God? Well, let's lift up the name of Jesus. Let's not try to come down. All the facts haven't come out. It looks pretty clear to me based on the video. But let's say God and let's lift up the name of Jesus, let's call for justice. But God is what what justice is, is is not a certain outcome that we want. It's the truth, right? It's the truth being unfolded, and then the proper kinds of consequences under the law. It's not a matter it's not the Justice by mob right. The Justice by mob is what sent Jesus the righteous and holy one who was sinless mob justice sent Jesus to the cross, right? They called crucify him, right that the crowd the mob the crowd that crucifying we know Jesus said he lays his life no one takes his life from him. So in business picture that Jesus died was for God's justice to be fulfilled for all of us. But in the, in the moment and the God used that mob justice, which was really, you know, that the anger of man, to call it the holy and righteous one to be lynched so well to be lynched to be crucified. But so I don't know maybe more details will come out i don't i don't think God would say call for, you know, the, the, you know, the murder or call for the, my first when I first thought I was upset with this, this father and son and like they deserve life in prison. Then as I I was, I didn't that was my first thought. I was angry. And then I thought about it some more. I'm like, well, maybe it can't be life in prison, maybe because it was a premeditated because they called 911. They thought they were doing the right thing. They were sincerely thought they're doing the right thing, but they were totally wrong. And this man, I believe, was totally innocent. So there might well maybe a second degree, and so I don't know but Not the God is the ultimate judge and we pray that justice will come but I pray this will be exposed and and the truth will come out of and godly glorify, let me wrap it up. Pray with me here. Pray with me let's let's let's fix the world right now

Eric Olson Jesus name was Jesus name Father, we love you, Lord let this let this tragedy bring you glory. We do ask for your justice we ask for the truth to be exposed about this situation. And Lord for everyone listening in and even those who aren't listening across America, we pray, Father that you would bring conviction to our hearts that that we work when we are quick to judge and quick to speak before we have wisdom and we're quick to anger. We asked for your conviction, Holy Spirit. And we asked father that you were convicted and so we could be to obey and conform to your character that will be slow to judge slow to speak and slow to anger. Lord, let your will be done in this situation. We pray that you would not allow any riots or looting to happen in in Georgia or Florida because of this. But we pray that there will be a call for repentance of all peoples of black and white and Hispanic and Asian in every nation. Let there be a call, let us call out. Now is this day Today's the day of salvation, Lord, and now is the time to give our lives to Christ. If you haven't, and those who believe in you, Lord, now's the time to seek the Lord. Father, we ask that you would stir up this urgency in our heart, not not a panic, but a sense of high stakes for the souls of humanity. Lord, we love you, Father, first overflowing with your Holy Spirit. In Jesus name, Amen. And Amen.

Santiago Leon And, Lord, we pray for anyone out there that needs healing. Lord, we pray for my cousin that She was diagnosed with cancer again, Lord, we, we come against cancer Lord. It's not from you, Lord. We pray for healing, complete healing in Jesus name. And for anyone that has cancer in their bodies, Lord, let it disappear to dissipate in Jesus name. We pray for you. For anyone that's hurting or going through the Coronavirus there are in a severe state Lord we pray for healing in Jesus name this virus. Lord, I pray Lord that virus will be cut. Lord in Jesus name.

Santiago Leon complete, complete healing Lord and we pause to pray for eyes. I'm here if anyone has any eyesight or even if they're blind Jesus name we pray for vision declare up Lord and Lord and we pray for any back pain, any back pain anyone that's dealing with back pain disc, nerves disease That'd be correction.

Eric Olson And I feel I have, I just pray against the spirit of depression. Yeah, in this period of suicide that there's people out there that are having suicidal thoughts that have never had them before. There's people that are really under the spirit of heaviness. You just command that heaviness to get off when people rebuke the spirit of heaviness. And Lord, we ask that you would release the joy of the Lord, open people's eyes to your goodness and your presence that are feeling this and set them free in Jesus name, show Cordova.

Santiago Leon And also Lord, we pray for people that you know during this time they were thinking about launching something a ministry, or a business or a new venture, or we prayed that they will execute it. Because this is the month of transition. This is the month where a lot of people are going to make decisions of what they're going to do in their next phase of their life and their next chapter. In Jesus name. We pray for freedom. We pray for peace and we pray that they will Not be nervous or have any fear. Give them courage, Lord, give them courage in Jesus name. Amen. Wow, that's a you know, to be honest, you know, there's a lot of people talking about, you know, changing jobs careers or just launching that thing they've been procrastinating about for the past couple months or maybe years. And this is the moment you know, when you're, when you're in your house quarantine you think about a lot of things and also, it's a good time to do some prayer time, right? Because it also men relationships, I've heard you know, a lot of couples that have family members, many relationships and never spend more than an hour together because because of that, because their busy lives and this has been a very good moment. It's an awakening moment and I know that you and I have been kind of talking about it. What is this season all about? We don't know yet for sure. We have ideas But I have a lot of confidence in the Lord. That's all I can say.

Eric Olson Amen. And just to jump piggyback off what you just said, you know, the is the Bible verse For today, as you read in the beginning there and Colossians, four, five, there's a statement in there that verses says make the most of every opportunity, right? Yep. And so, this Coronavirus, we can look at it. That's I really believe with wisdom with God is to look at it in terms of an opportunity. Yes, it was a disruption to our natural routines. But guess what every obstacle and if there's an obstacle and there's a threat to it, yes. And there's different things going on. But in the spirit and with God, everything, even setbacks are actually opportunities in disguise. So this where you're if you're still on lockdown, you can't go to restaurants and you can't go to your church like normal. This is an opportunity and just as what Santiago said, seek God right now. A lot of you already are with as long as this last word, how does God want you to transition right now? I believe this is a transition all of us have, maybe some of us has had huge transition and others have small one, but I believe we're all called to transition because everything this is transitioning our society could be

Eric Olson Oh, glory. Thank you, Santiago. Well, I'm just so thankful for the Lord and I you know, as Santiago was speaking there, Transitioning and, and make obviously I mean on being honest. I mean, I was feeling that in my own heart that and that's what I've been thinking a lot with that I, you know, have children and wife and other responsibilities and so I've been slowly transitioning into the relaunch of Jmt dot biz, I've been portraying Jesus dramatically since 2007. And so Wow, 13 years now. And how much

Santiago Leon of the Bible Have you memorized so far?

Eric Olson Wow. You know, I could, let's see, I would say, close to 1000 verses, and I would, I would say probably, maybe about 10 total chapters, that maybe more than maybe more than that. You're you're probably above average, aren't you? Well, I guess in terms of memorization, I in memorizing scripture, I would say I am not trying to, I would say, yeah, I'm above average. In one thing, the Lord called me to do that, and also my train in my background as an actor in memorizing Shakespeare and other plays, you know, I was trained to memorize and so I'm, I'm above average memorization for a number of reason. reasons. And I actually I have a goal I it's a discipline, it really is a discipline, but I look at it as a privilege. It's not that I have to, but I get to, you know, I look at it as it's enjoyable. I get revelation as I memorize and meditate on the word. And so obviously, also I have the calling to portray Jesus. So it goes, it coincides with my calling. But I encourage everyone you know, get the word in your heart and, you know, memorize a chapter even there's smaller books try and memorize in the book of Colossians. It's only four chapters. I mean, to start with the it's a good start, and maybe even there's other places, smarter, the smallest salt Psalm 100. It's like four or five verses. So yeah, meditate on the word. I listened to the word. But um, yeah, by the grace of God, I guess I'm not trying to compare myself to anybody else. There's people that have memorized a lot more than me. I know that, but it's not a competition. So, I just, I'm thankful by the grace of God, I am, who I am, and I am what I am and, and he's given me a great calling, and I'm I want to fulfill it to the utmost for God's glory and the advancement of his eternal kingdom.

Santiago Leon And God's blessed me with good memory skills. Yes, but it might be supernatural. I don't know if it's natural.

Eric Olson I think it's a combination. I think. I think there isn't a supernatural aspect for sure it, you know, not only aspect, it might be primarily supernatural, but I think you know, our choices have consequences. So if I neglected the supernatural gifts, then the gift could dry up and God doesn't remove the gift but it would be Not not be extremely underutilized. So when I put my natural talents and discipline in time and devotion into meditating with the Lord and speaking the words, then the supernatural gift is, you know utilized. Does that make sense?

Santiago Leon It makes perfect sense. I know what you mean. I know what you mean Ain't No, I use this talent. Of course, there's people out there that have a talent, of portraying of memorizing technology or being in the law. It's just, you know, guy that has not made every person the same. You know, I mean, gotta realize that everyone has their specific talent. We're all the same. We're all robots, it would not be interested, that I can tell you,

Eric Olson so. Yeah, and that's the Bible, you know, in First Corinthians 12. And I think other places as well. It gives the metaphor, if you will, of, like, created our own body and our body has many parts, but it's all connected to one body. And that's the same with believers. Like, you know, the hand can't To the eyes, I don't need you, right, we all we need each other. And so the key is the body has to work together to to function properly and to do what it's called to do. And so like Santiago, you and I have different giftings. But we're collaborating because we're part of the same body of Christ. We have the same Holy Spirit, we have different giftings different talents. But we're working together for God's glory, and we're collaborating the spirit of faith and love, and it's for His glory. And then, you know, as you grow you, you have other people that you can bring on board that have other talents and, and when you do it in a spirit of true collaboration, teamwork, and fellowship, not trying to compete against each other, because that can, you know, bring in divisiveness and the wrong attitude. We're supposed to do everything and brotherly love so then that that is really the witness of the kingdom of God at work here on earth when when we're operating as very different distinct individuals, but at the same time, we're connected on a unit but we have a unified And one Lord one faith in one God and Father then we can it can be a very fruitful and beautiful and powerful you know, thing that happens

Santiago Leon So Justin, tell us, what are you up to these days?

Justin Boothby These days, I'm actually a full time videographer. That's, that's my job. And I definitely enjoy it. We got to do a video submission for HGTV recently, which was a blast. Definitely one of my biggest Video Productions I've done so far. And

Santiago Leon yeah, so that's where I'm at. And I remember, um, you are at Southeastern University, and you went to Liberty as well. And also at region. So you've been to the three schools I've been to, but my sister went to southeastern. So there's definitely a connection there when it comes to school wise.

Justin Boothby Yeah, for sure. southeastern, both southeastern and region, just absolutely phenomenal schools. I truly missed the professors that were there. And

Santiago Leon yeah, it was good time. I remember we were having a conversation on Facebook, you were asking questions about what is a good leadership podcast or a Christian Leadership podcast and you got a lot of responses.

Santiago Leon What, what type of answers were you getting?

Justin Boothby I mean, I got them all across the border. But the one that I really love that I've just been listening to almost every week is the Carrie new half leadership podcast, right? That one has just been transformational for me. Now, I did get the Craig Rochelle one as well, which I had already been listening to. So Craig Rochelle Carey, new Hoff, those guys have been putting out some phenomenal content,

Santiago Leon which I saw Craig Michelle, last year at a conference and the guy he's amazing, like, not just he's a pastor, but he does have a CEO mindset as well. So I definitely trust his leadership skills. If he had he had a podcast.

Justin Boothby He was actually our commencement speaker at southeastern and you know, when you're at commencement, You don't necessarily remember much, especially when you're in a super packed place. And it's Florida in May. But I definitely remember he said this one thing, your generation is entitled and you need to get it together. why that's so true. And it's so true. It's stuck with me for 10 years later it's it's still a huge problem in our in our culture generation,

Santiago Leon which a kind of translates to people in the 20s and possibly the 30s. Was Craig big back then, or was he kind of like, started getting popular back then?

Justin Boothby Yeah, he was just starting to like come onto the scene as far as like a more of a megachurch pastor, right. Definitely know where to where he is today. But

Santiago Leon yeah, yeah. Because I know he started his app back back when like the iPhone started so it was like kind of four years in, but I think he was probably a little bit less expensive to book on a graduation commencement. Anyway, We're gonna pray and then we'll have Justin take over and and also that touches to share what God is telling him in his heart. Lord, we thank You, Lord for today. Lord, we thank You for Your goodness and your grace. Lord, we thank you for people out there that are relying on you and we pray for people out there that need you, Lord, or need encouraging word and we pray through Justin Holy Spirit, speak through his heart. And I let people's minds be changed in their hearts, and they can have an encounter with you in Jesus name. Amen. Go ahead, justice.

Justin Boothby Amen. Well, hey, once again, thanks for bringing me on. I saw this morning that the verse was and of course you said it. Psalm 62 seven, my salvation and my honor depend on God. He is my mighty rock and my refuge. And I'm very much big on salvation and the idea of the name of Jesus, which is Yeshua, which means salvation. So I thought I'd talk a little bit about where we see the name of Jesus in the Hebrew Bible, a lot of people use the term Old Testament, I use the term Hebrew Bible. I just always try to be sensitive to the Jewish believers. But anyways, so in Exodus 14, we have this series of events that happens right after the Israelites leave Egypt. And so we have Moses, they're going out and they're going to the Red Sea, the Red Sea, whatever you want to call it, they come to a place where they cannot go any further. And so, of course, the Israelites start complaining because who wouldn't when you see the Egyptian army coming towards you, so the Egyptian army is heading their way and the Israelites start complaining and saying, was it because there weren't any graves in Egypt that you decided that you were going to just bury us out here and kill us all out here? And so I think like most of us, we would probably be complaining as well. We often I think we often look at the Israelites and say, Oh, you guys were just such idiots like you had everything going for you, you finally got out of Egypt. Clearly God's doing something miraculous, and you're still complaining. But the truth is that we complain to. And even though we may not necessarily have a big red fire guiding us, we still have the Holy Spirit guiding us. And today what we're going to be talking about is not just salvation, but what it means to be still, and to be dependent and to listen to God. And so to get back to this story here, the Israelites to get to this place where they can't go any further. And I just imagine the scene where Moses kind of takes a second he goes off to the side and he starts praying to God like, Alright God, what the heck is going on here? All right, you did all this work, what is going on? And Moses says to the Israelites, and I'm sure it was something that came directly from God. He says, watch and do not be afraid because Today, you will see my salvation, you will see my issue. So we have this imagery of Jesus in the Old Testament, the Hebrew Bible and Exodus 14. And what happens? God parts the See, God does a miraculous thing. But one of the interesting things that we find here is that the Israelites could not save themselves. This idea of salvation, this idea of honor, just as it says in Psalm 62. Seven is that it all depends on God. God is the one who gives that salvation God is the one who grants out salvation. Now, of course, the Israelites had to walk through the parted waters. They're the ones that had to actually physically walk through. But God was the one that part of the sea God was the one that caused salvation. And just like for us as Christ followers, we cannot save ourselves. We need God's Yeshua we need God's salvation, that It comes through Jesus. And ultimately, yes, we have to walk into that salvation, we have to walk into that life of deliverance. But we are not the ones who deliver ourselves. It is God who delivers us. And as we walk into this new life, we get to a place where we're not really sure necessarily what God is doing next. So for the Israelites, they thought they knew what God was doing next, and then he made the wait for 40 years. Hopefully, that doesn't always happen to us. But all throughout Scripture, what we see is people who have to wait on God, and we have to be in tune to what God is doing and saying, otherwise, not only could we miss it, but we might actually do the wrong thing. So we have Abraham, right. We have Abraham and Sarah. He's waiting for his child to be born. What does he do? Well, Sarah actually has him with somebody else. And you know, we have this extended waiting period of time, we have Saul, who was, you know, he had every opportunity to be the greatest King, but he just did not listen. And it caused him to lose the kingdom.

Justin Boothby We have Joseph, right, who goes through this whole series of events, all waiting on God the entire time. But everything that happened during that waiting period was essential for what was going to come next. And when we're looking at it in current, Current Affairs, current events, we're all in this waiting period. I mean, we have Corona virus right now, that has just crippled the world. You see what's going on everywhere. And there's a certain element of panic. I know that when it all started to happen, my wife and I both just felt like, you know, we were in a state of panic. We didn't really know what was going on. And I think it's really caused everybody to settle down a little bit in the sense of like, you can't go out you can't do everything and and this idea of dizziness, right, we've all been so busy for so long that now we actually finally have a time where we can rest a little bit. Now don't get me wrong, I think a lot of people are probably working even extended hours because of course some people have lost jobs some people need to work extra hours for their job. But for the most part, I think a lot of people have entered into a more of a resting period, which is a good thing. We need rest. And so as we're talking about what it means to wait on God. What I'd like to do here is read a few of my favorite verses. And we have Isaiah 40. I don't know Santiago Have you ever done lectio Divina before I have not okay. I'm very big on luxio it's a great way to like, relax, to pause and to just read through Scripture and allow it to like really soak in. Oh, cool. Try it out. Yeah, it's, I've been I've been doing it I'm actually doing a reading on on YouTube. So I just started doing that recently, just to help people. I think a lot of people don't really know exactly what to pray all the time. They don't know what scriptures to read. That's true. Takes a really small piece of Scripture and just allows it to soak in and really reflect on what God's speaking Hey, smell that l EC t i o. And then space Divina de IVIN. I will

Justin Boothby Yeah, so it's, it's like an ancient monastic reading of the Bible. Yeah, so I figured I read Isaiah 4028 31 since it's a little bit relevant to us today, do you not know, Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the week. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall. But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not be faint. And so we have this idea of hoping or waiting on the Lord.

Justin Boothby Sorry, I'm turning to Psalm 46. Here.

Justin Boothby We have this idea of waiting on the Lord and not doing something until necessarily he speaks or until he prompts us to do something. And as we saw with Saul, right He was commanded to wait for Samuel and Samuel wasn't coming Samuel was actually late. And then Saul goes ahead and does something he shouldn't have done simply because he wasn't. He didn't wait on God. He didn't wait for everything to take place. So, Psalm 46, we have this, this scene where you know, everything is in turmoil, everything crazy is going on. And what does he say? He says, Be still and know that I am God. And so while we're in this period of coronavirus, and quarantine, and all of those things, for some of us, this is the perfect opportunity to be still, this is the perfect opportunity to wait on God to spend time with God and to really figure out what he's trying to do and what he's going to do next. Not to say that we have to have some major prophetic revelation about what God is going to do. I'm not talking about any of that. I'm simply talking about remaining in God And listening to what he has to offer us. So when you look at john 15, right, we have this idea of Jesus being the true vine, and we are branches that are with him and that when we abide in Him, we kind of know what he's doing. And so I think that's important, too, that when we, when we read your scripture, when we spend time in prayer, I'm not saying those are the only ways of growing spiritually or being in tune with God, but really listening to what the Holy Spirit is trying to speak to us. That is going to help us to discern what God wants of us and what God is maybe going towards next. So, once again, our salvation and our honor depend on God. Everything depends on God. And timing is key. Unfortunately, we don't know all of God's timing. Unfortunately, we don't know what he's going to do next. But we can be ready and we can be prepared. And I think the Isaiah 4020 Through 31 verses is perfect on that. Those who hope those who wait on the Lord knew their strength. And so remember that when you're walking through your week when you're walking through your days, especially right now, and you're probably in quarantine, like the rest of us. Spend some extra time just waiting on the Lord, spend some time hoping on what God is going to do next. And you'll recognize, I think, in those moments, that he is your rock, that he is your refuge. And once again, everything depends on God. And yeah, that's, that's pretty much what I have for us today. Just to make sure that we're spending time waiting and hoping on the Lord.

Santiago Leon Amen. Yes. We should very much Justin Yes. And guys out there that are that who has anxiety that who that are impatient, maybe they're home and maybe they've been home for three weeks or so. This is a Good moment just to rely on God depend on God. There's one word that I've been talking about for the past two weeks, I just meet other people as well the word reset. people that need to, like who've been going like hundred miles per hour for the past couple of years, needed this break to stop just to refresh, just to quench themselves a little bit, the whole of Wow, I feel good like this past Saturday. I slept, like more than eight hours. I never sleep more than eight hours typically. Um, but Justin, can you pray for people out there that, um, who need that peace who need that reliance to to have that assurance that God is there?

Justin Boothby Yeah, absolutely. And, and just to speak to what you just said for a second. I've been leading a small group on seven practices for spiritual growth. It's a curriculum that I wrote, but yesterday we spoke on Sabbath. And I think there are a lot of Christians who have fallen into this idea that you have to be busy doing something or else you're sitting, you know, if you're not doing something for the Lord, you're, you're not doing what God has for you. And that's not what we find in Scripture at all that actually taking a rest that having a Sabbath once a week that, that spending time with the Lord is actually holy and good and, and that's something that he commanded us to do. And so, for any of you out there who are worried, like oh my gosh, I'm not doing something. It's okay. God commanded us to rest and it's a good and a holy thing. So I just wanted to point that out. Wrestling is not said,

Santiago Leon No, it's not. It's very good. Jesus did a seventh day.

Justin Boothby Amen. All right, let's pray.

Justin Boothby Lord, we know that these are uncertain times. And we know that even though there's so much chaos going around us, we know that you're in control. We know that you are the one who leads us who guides us. Besides the waters, you're the one who makes sure that you know The world is going crazy that you are there with us. And so Lord, I pray for everybody out there who is anxious, who is nervous, who is maybe in a state of panic, maybe maybe their chest feels tight or, or their their head is hurting whatever is going on with them. Lord, I pray that you would just be beside them, and that you would be with them. Lord, I pray that you would allow this time to be a time of renewal, a time of rejuvenation, time of refreshing. And as Santiago said, a time of reset for so many of us. And Lord, we're excited for what you're going to do next. And we just hope and pray that you'll guide us abundantly in this next season of life forward. In your name, we pray Jesus, amen.

Lord, we pray for people out there that need healing Lord for any type of disease coronavirus if they have it, we pray in Jesus name for healing We also pray for anyone that who's sick that has cancer or we pray for healing any issue with lungs in Jesus name. heal it, Lord and out there receive receive that healing acts God and he'll give it to you in Jesus name. And Lord we thank you Lord for today Lord, we thank You for Your goodness and your kindness and your peace Lord, speak to us Lord through this time Lord This is definitely not this is a unusual time but Lord there's always a reason for all this. And we pray that that through this time that people could find you in Jesus name they could find the truth people out there that that who don't know you're in panic or they could find you the truth they could be resting under your wings in Jesus name.
